Are we the only ones noticing a new trend? High-end manufacturers seem to be intent on introducing new electronics and loudspeakers in 2024 that almost nobody can afford — and that includes most audiophiles. Weird.

Estonia-based Estelon has been creating award-winning loudspeakers that have earned a big following in Europe and Asia since 2010. Audiophiles with very deep pockets have always been their focus and Estelon doesn’t seem to be retreating from that strategy with their latest offering, the X Diamond Signature Edition. At $115,000 per pair, they are being offered with only 20 sets available for purchase.

X Diamond Signature Edition Overview

Estelon claims that the X Diamond Signature Edition has been crafted and engineered as the pinnacle of sonic refinement and aesthetic sophistication. Building upon the X Diamond Mk II, this new model pushes the boundaries of audio engineering even further, with enhancements and upgrades designed to deliver an unparalleled listening experience.

Revolutionary Connectors: The X Diamond Signature Edition incorporates connector innovation derived from the Extreme Mk II model. Instead of conventional binding posts, custom-built connectors feature a unique clamp-like design. The connectors are also spring-loaded for optimal cable attachment. This eliminates unnecessary metal-to-metal transitions, ensuring purity and clarity from bass to highs. Utilizing precision 3D printed high-quality polyamide there are no metal parts or high dielectric constant materials to compromise sound integrity.

Tip: The binding posts are adaptable to banana, spade, or bare wire connections.

Enhanced Internal Cabling: Drawing from previous flagship models (Forza and Extreme Mk II), the X Diamond Signature Edition features top-of-the-line Kubala Sosna internal cabling with the OptimiZ™ technology. This innovative technology enhances transparency in midrange frequencies and highs, resulting in a larger soundstage, improved separation, and enhanced micro-detail and micro-dynamics.

Advanced Filter Technology: The X Diamond Signature Edition has added an updated filter scheme and topology with includes Mundorf Ultra resistors for midrange and high frequencies and resin-baked coils for bass. These enhancements contribute to a more transparent sound.

Next-Generation Isolation Feet and Spikes: For added performance support, the X Diamond Signature Edition is equipped with Stillpoints Ultra SS V2 isolation feet. The feet ensure consistent sound quality across different floor types while improving soundstage and bass articulation.

Exquisite Design: The X Diamond Signature Edition features hand-crafted stainless steel accent details which adds an extra touch of sophistication. Its black pearl gloss tops off the innovative cabinet design. Each speaker panel bears the signature of Alfred Vassilkov, symbolizing his unwavering commitment to excellence.
