Dnp SuperNova Infinity Screen Introduced

New ISF-Certified Supernova Screen Shines at InfoComm Booth # 4836

ANAHEIM, CA — June 12, 2007 — dnp, the world’s leading supplier of optical projection screen technology, is proud to introduce Supernova Infinity, the first commercial front- projection screen to allow viewing in brightly lit environments. Supernova Infinity is a modular screen system designed to create “Videowall” style front-projection screens of almost any size and aspect ratio, ideal for commercial projection applications. dnp’s innovative manufacturing process enables the Supernova Infinity to reproduce contrast ratios up to 10 times greater than conventional screens — delivering superior performance even in the most challenging projection settings.

“Whether in a retail store, a boardroom or a large venue, the Supernova Infinity is the perfect solution for a wide variety of commercial applications” said Manfred Freiberger, senior account manager for dnp USA. “There is no other screen on the market that compares with Infinity’s scope or quality. Its revolutionary design allows for endless presentation opportunities.”

dnp’s Supernova Infinity opens vast new opportunities for display solutions in environments with severe ambient light challenges, such as auditoriums, boardrooms, lobbies, sports bars and retail stores. Using a uniquely-developed aluminum structure and powerful magnets, Supernova Screens combine as building blocks to create large-scale displays which can be combined in almost endless configurations. The modular construction is customizable to the size and number of screens chosen and is quick and easy to assemble. Seams are invisible under projection.

Supernova Screens are based on a revolutionary high-contrast filter that allows the projected image to be reflected from the screen, while effectively absorbing incident light from other angles. As a result, the screen is virtually unaffected by ambient light.

Among the finest screens in the market, the dnp Supernova Infinity Screen material has recently been certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) for its outstanding image quality. This means the product exceeds the high-standard benchmarks that define the best video performance available. With a half-gain of over 80 degrees, Supernova Infinity provides full 180 degrees of horizontal viewing. Supernova Infinity combines neutral color reproduction and uniform image quality with extremely high contrast ratios and superior black levels.

During the upcoming audio/visual tradeshow, InfoComm 2007, June 19-21, 2007 in Anaheim, California, Supernova Infinity will be demonstrated at dnp booth #4836. dnp will also showcase other products from the award winning Supernova line such as the fixed Supernova One and the portable Supernova Mobile Screen. dnp will also be featuring three high-end rear projection screens for meeting and control rooms; dnp’s new Wide Angle Screen, dnp Sigma Screen and dnp Giant Wide Angle Screen.
