CLASSPAC Offers Turnkey Classroom Audio/Video System

Untitled-1

Plug-and-Play System Includes Amplified Speakers, Control Panel, Lighting Control, Projector Screen, Visualizer and Projector Mount – CLASSPAC to Be Introduced at InfoComm2009

Prominent audio/video companies have joined forces and combined products to offer the CLASSPAC™, a completely automated, easy-to-use, plug-and-play classroom multimedia system starting at MSRP $3,499. Taking a leadership role in the CLASSPAC offering are Aurora Multimedia and OWI Incorporated with Draper Inc., Premier Mounts, WolfVision and Dimonoff as product partners. The CLASSPAC is available to ship now and will be showcased at the 2009 InfoComm Show in Orlando, FL, June 17-19.

The CLASSPAC is designed to save schools time and money and provide integrators with a simple A/V solution for the education market. Sold as a total A/V system, it eliminates the time-consuming task of contacting multiple companies in search of products that may or may not be compatible with each other. All CLASSPAC products are tested for connectivity and operation assuring out-of-the-box compatibility among all the system’s components. CLASSPAC’s interactive website makes it easy to design, budget and specify any size system using product partner’s components.

The CLASSPAC educational A/V package starts at MSRP $3,499, and includes complementary components from Aurora Multimedia (WACI-PAD 6™ and VGA-composite input wall plate), OWI Incorporated (AMP-1S62 and IC6 ceiling speakers), Premier Mounts (PDS-FCTAW-QL projector mount) and a digital projector. Custom CLASSPACs are also available to meet different sourcing and product requirements. CLASSPAC is available nationwide through authorized dealers and AV integrators.

Aurora Multimedia Control Panel
The CLASSPAC system is controlled by a preprogrammed WACI-PAD 6™ touch-pad interface from Aurora Multimedia Corporation, a leading provider of IP-based control systems, processors, and touch panels for A/V systems. The most functional control interface available today the WACI-PAD fits in a single gang electrical box and provides a comfortable, tactile and graphical user experience. Its six buttons utilize tiny display technology to provide multiple levels of interaction using accompanying software, and have the ability to morph into other buttons based on button presses or events taking place in the system. In addition, the WACI-PAD features a built-in Web server for remote IP control. The innovative device is made in America and can accommodate almost any system design.

OWI Incorporated Speakers
The system includes one AMP-1S62 self-amplified ceiling speaker and one IC6 ceiling speaker from OWI, Incorporated, a world leader in advanced audio systems for AV integrators, commercial, industrial, and residential markets. These UL listed speakers are the perfect audio partners for projector and microphone applications. The AMP-1S62 amplified speaker drives the other speaker and eliminates the need of an external amplifier. By placing the amplifier within inches of the speaker, maximum damping control of the speaker due to low source impedance is achieved. The result is optimum high fidelity reproduction and response without the cost of an amplifier. To accommodate larger rooms additional speakers can be added as an option.

Premier Mounts
Completing the CLASSPAC system is a projector mount by Premier Mounts, a global leader in developing innovative supporting solutions for projectors and flat-panel displays. The CLASSPAC system recommends using the PDS-FCTAW-QL projector mount with false ceiling T-bar adapter/quick lock cable, the lowest-profile universal mount on the market today. The PDS’s eight transformable mounting legs makes installation easy and allows for remarkable adjustability and flexible placement. To complete the installation, the GB-PIPE1 pipe-mounted equipment enclosure and the PWH-4W 4″ pipe with cable routing outlet are included.

Draper Inc
With one of the most complete projection screen lines in the world, Draper products have been synonymous with quality and performance for over 100 years. Draper began supplying projection screens to schools in 1957 and today projection screens and related products are the largest component of their business. Whether wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, recessed or rear projection models, Draper has a screen to meet any need.

WolfVision
As the leading manufacturer of high-end visualizers for over 30 years, Austrian-based WolfVision sets the worldwide standard for product quality, innovation and ease of use. Visualizers are one of the most flexible tools being used in classrooms today. With the ability to image both flat and 3-dimensional objects and then provide a high-resolution output signal to projectors, monitors and interactive whiteboards, WolfVision visualizers truly bring presentations to life.

Dimonoff
Perfect for retrofit environments, Dimonoff distributed lighting control systems places the controls (relays) at the loads so the system communicates to its modules via the existing electric network, eliminating the need to add parallel lines. Cost-saving Dimonoff systems are easy to install, easy to use and easily adaptable.

OWI Inc Wireless Microphone System (optional)
An OWI CRS-101 infrared wireless microphone system can be added to the CLASSPAC as an optional component. With its wall-mounted, lockable enclosure there are no freestanding or rack-mounted components to take up closet or shelf space and the usual unsightly tangle of wires is eliminated. The CRS-101 microphone system makes any seat the best seat in the classroom.
