Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth Speaker

Cambridge Audio G2

Cambridge Audio today announced the G2 ultra-compact, portable Bluetooth speaker that also functions as speakerphone. With a four speaker array, 10 hours of battery life, and a sleek and stylish design, the G2 can fit neatly in a bag, provide powerful tunes in the park, and simultaneously charge a depleted phone on the go. The G2 also has the ability to be sync’d with another G2 to create an even bigger sound.

The G2 can be connected to virtually any device via Bluetooth and also supports one-touch pairing using Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology, built into the G2.

Additionally, the G2 remembers eight different devices (phones, tablets or laptops) so there is no need to continually disconnect, un-pair and re-pair each time for each user, though it can only connect to one device at a time to play music.

The G2 uses a high capacity lithium-ion battery that can play for up to 10 hours from a single charge. In addition, the G2 uses intelligent battery management software to optimise battery life and minimize charging times, allowing extended listening sessions at a party or while on the go.

This ultra-portable speaker also has a convenient USB socket to charge mobile devices from its own battery, whether connected to it via Bluetooth or not.

The G2 has the option to be wirelessly paired with another G2 providing a sound twice as powerful for a party twice as big. Wherever music is stored or played from — including the most popular streaming services such as Pandora, Spotify, rdio, BBC iPlayer or Google Play Music – users can now enjoy it wirelessly and create their own multi-G2 experience, delivering even more oomph.

Measuring just 189mm (W) x 67 mm (H) x 55mm (D) and with a solid aluminium body with backlit, soft touch controls, the G2 is available in black or an elegant champagne finish.

Price and Availability
The Cambridge Audio G2 is will be available October, 2014 for £99.95 / €149.99.
