Cabasse Unveils PEARL THEATRE: Wireless Cinema System Brings La Sphere Attitude Without the Mansion-Sized Price Tag

Because not everyone has room—or the bank account—for a La Sphère Evo, Cabasse’s PEARL THEATER delivers that French audiophile flair with fewer zeroes and a footprint that won’t scare the dog.

Cabasse PEARL THEATRE 5.1 Channel Speaker System Lifestyle in Black

Cabasse is one of the many audio heavyweights making noise at High End Munich 2025—an already stacked show that’s turned into quite the swan song before the whole circus packs up for Vienna in 2026 and beyond.

This year, Cabasse isn’t showing up empty-handed. They’ve brought the big guns: the freshly updated LA SPHERE EVO system and the more living room–friendly, but still unapologetically French, PEARL THEATRE.

Before you get too misty-eyed over the PEARL THEATRE’s compact form factor and start flashing back to those quirky Mirage or Gallo Acoustics systems from the ’90s—brace yourself. This sleek little French number will set you back $9,000. That’s a whole lot of Viennese coffee, strudel, and probably a box at the Staatsoper if you’re the type who travels with both a calculator and a tux.

Cabasse PEARL THEATRE 5.2.2 Channel Speaker System in Black

The PEARL THEATRE

The PEARL THEATRE is the latest addition to Cabasse’s PEARL Collection—a lineup of wireless speakers that leans heavily into French flair and high-tech convenience. This one sits at the top of the family tree: a sleek, wireless, ultra-compact Hi-Fi home theater system that wants to do it all without cluttering your living room or requiring an AV rack that looks like mission control.

Designed to be plug-and-play (and blessedly free of 50-pound amps and spaghetti wiring), the PEARL THEATRE delivers an impressive power-to-size ratio that Cabasse clearly wants you to notice. Whether you’re firing up Dune: Part Two or streaming lossless jazz, this system aims to handle both with confidence—and without dominating your furniture.

At the heart of it all is a minimalist amp unit that handles both your analog nostalgia and your digital future. It comes loaded with HDMI eARC, optical, USB, and RCA inputs, plus all the wireless connectivity you’d expect in 2025: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and streaming service access baked right in. There’s even an LCD screen for source and volume control—because nothing says “modern French luxury” like a tiny digital display pretending it’s still 2012.

The amplifier doesn’t just look sleek—it’s Roon Ready, which means it plays nice with serious music libraries and the audiophiles who obsess over them. Built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet keep it wired (or unwired) into your home network and the endless abyss that is the internet. No dongles, no drama.

It also supports most major surround formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, so whether you’re chasing flying dragons or dodging bullets in John Wick 9, you’re covered.

The PEARL THEATER goes full wireless for setup—no cables snaking across the floor like you’re back in a 2003 dorm room. The 7.5 cm (3-inch) satellites are ultra-compact, come with adjustable wall or ceiling mounts, and all feature full-range drivers to keep things punchy without a bulky footprint.

Holding down the low end is a compact yet formidable 32 cm (13-inch) subwoofer featuring Cabasse’s patented HELD driver—because of course the French have a patented subwoofer name that sounds like an existential crisis. Two included wireless modules handle the rear channels, completing a system that looks more boutique lifestyle than brute-force home theater.

In addition to the speakers and subwoofer, the amplifier also provides a headphone jack for private listening.

Easy operation via the Cabasse StreamCONTROL app (iOS, Android) is provided for precise and intuitive control and customization, and an infrared remote control is also provided for added control convenience.

The Bottom Line

The Cabasse PEARL THEATRE is what happens when French design meets home theater minimalism—with a splash of luxury pricing. It’s compact, stylish, and basically plug-and-play, with setup so easy even your cousin who still watches DVDs could handle it. It offers configuration flexibility, enough power to shake the walls, and won’t turn your living room into a jungle of speaker wires and cable ties.

But let’s not sugarcoat it: the nearly $9,000 price tag might cause a double espresso to shoot out of your nose. For that money, you could walk into your local AV shop, pick up a solid midrange AVR, a 5.1 speaker system with a decent sub, and still walk out with change for some decent Scotch—or a few rounds of Wiener schnitzel if you’re already dreaming about High End Vienna 2026.

Still, there’s something to be said for its wireless elegance and tiny footprint. Your living room stays clean, the sound stays hi-fi, and your partner doesn’t threaten to divorce you over floorstanders. It’s also worth remembering: this is the affordable Cabasse debut at Munich—because compared to the $135,000 LA SPHERE EVO, the PEARL THEATRE is practically a blue-light special.
