Features 2,000 ANSI Lumen Brightness, 50,000:1 Ultra-High Contrast Ratio, Frame Interpolation, and Native Rec. 709 Color Gamut

BenQ introduced the W7000 full-HD 3D home cinema DLP projector, which has earned a Full HD 3D Certification by TUV Rheinland, one of the most trusted certification institutes in Europe. Powered by DLP Link, the W7000 delivers stunning 1080p 3D images to both of the viewer’s eyes without the distraction of crosstalk. Consumers can enjoy brilliantly rendered 3D movies, live sports, and video games without the hassle of additional equipment.

The W7000 provides 2,000 ANSI lumen high brightness, a 50,000:1 ultra-high contrast ratio with a dynamic iris, and support for all HDMI 1.4a 3D signal formats. BrilliantColor performance technology from Texas Instruments boosts midtone colors to heighten brightness levels, making images more precisely rendered than ever. In addition, the W7000 features VIDI lighting technology to deliver more lumens on screen than competing systems and normal lamps while increasing brightness by 15 percent for red and blue. The W7000 offers frame interpolation, providing noticeably smoother and more lifelike motion for action scenes by increasing the rate of frames per second and eliminating motion lag, distracting judders, and blurred shadows.

BenQ W7000 HD 3D DLP Projector

The W7000 features the same full-HD-optimized optical system offered by all top-of-the-line home cinema projectors from BenQ, providing viewers with the highest level of clarity and sharpness in every full-HD image. For color precision that matches the human eye, the projector is compliant to the native Rec. 709 color gamut, one of the highest HD video standards for professional-grade home projectors. Featuring BenQ’s unique color management system — including independent 3D color control, preset mode, and user mode adjustment — the W7000 gives viewers the freedom to fine-tune hues, contrast, brightness, color temperature, gamma, and white balance levels to match their individual 2D and 3D viewing preferences. The system is ISFccc-certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), which enables viewers to enjoy a perfectly calibrated picture along with two optimized modes — ISF Day and ISF Night — for an unparalleled viewing experience.

For flexible placement in the home, the W7000 offers a versatile 1.5:1 zoom range and 1.62 to 2.43 throw ratio. The projector’s H+V lens shift technology provides up to 125 percent vertical and 40 percent horizontal lens shift adjustment with zero vertical offset. This allows the focal point of the lens to be adjusted in home theaters where center placement isn’t possible. Also, Panamorph lens compatibility allows viewers to show 2.35:1 aspect-format video — such as major studio movies — in its original widescreen format at maximum resolution with no image distortion or letterboxing.

Price and Availability
The W7000 will be available for the North American market in Q1 2012 for $3,999.
