Axiom Audio just announced AxiomAir N2. The new wireless speaker is both multi-room ready and portable (with optional battery). Unlike its lower-powered competitors, AxiomAir N2 uses a built-in 100-watt RMS amplifier. Tucked inside are two 1-inch titanium tweeters and a 6.5-inch aluminum dual voice coil woofer. It’s got high resolution digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that support 24-bit/192kHz audio. Audiophiles will even appreciate its optical input.
AxiomAir N2 has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for streaming music anywhere. With optional 9 hour battery, take it to the beach, camping – whatever. In the home, just add multiple speakers on the same network for multi-room music. It supports the usual services such as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Airplay, UPnP, etc. You can also plug in a network storage device / USB drive of songs and it will play those too.
Its hotspot feature automatically becomes active when out of range of your home network. When the hotspot is available, AxiomAir will appear as an available Wi-Fi network on your device’s WiFi or network settings. To connect to the AxiomAir WiFi hotspot, simply join the AxiomAir-xxxxxx network.
