AVAD Sponsors 2005 CEDIA Regional Education

Ft. Lauderdale, FL — March 22, 2005 — AVAD LLC, America’s leading distributor of custom electronic home systems, is pleased to announce its support of CEDIA 2005 Regional Education. In keeping with its corporate mission of educating and training its dealer corps, AVAD is glad to partner with CEDIA in backing regional training and certification.

Since its inception, AVAD has been a strong advocate of education and certification that strengthens a dealer’s professional credibility and ability to provide the quality of services today’s customers expect. With the establishment of AVAD University, AVAD dealers have convenient and localized access to numerous training opportunities. AVAD U offers convenient on-site manufacturer training sessions through all AVAD locations nationwide. In addition, CEDIA Installer Level I and Installer Level II preparation courses and examinations are offered through AVAD’s twenty six locations. Understanding the needs of its dealers, AVAD also offers online manufacturer product training through its web seminar courses.

“We are very proud to be a contributor to CEDIA Regional Education,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD LLC. “CEDIA training has become a benchmark in our industry, and as homebuyers become more and more knowledgeable about home technology, reliable installers need to satisfy their demand. In fact, manufacturer training and CEDIA Certification are mandatory for electronic systems contractors who join our Dealer to Builder (D2B) program. D2B has been designed to match professional custom installation specialists with homebuilders nationwide to fill the demand of technology in new homes.`

CEDIA has put together a comprehensive and powerful 2005 CEDIA University Regional Education program, which offers attendees the finest selection of highly rated CEDIA courses, comprehensive manufacturer product training, and CEDIA Certification review and exams. Manufacturer training is available in static and active product training sessions. During Static Manufacturer Product Training, manufacturers offer focused training on their product and their product alone, while during Active Product Training several manufacturers come together to offer hands-on training combined with one or more dynamic, active systems. Static and Active Manufacturer Training Sessions are free and count toward CEDIA Certification CEU credits.

The following AVAD partners are offering manufacturer product training sessions at the CEDIA Regionals: Atlantic Technology, Fujitsu General America, Lutron, NetStreams, Panamax, Philips and Polk Audio.
