There is a new Streaming Audio and Control Brand (AVA) from the founder of NEEO and former Control 4 Executives targeting the residential custom installation market. AVA is launching and shipping the company’s first products, which include a 2.1 Streaming Audio System and Remote Control.
AVA 2.1 Streaming Audio System
The AVA Streaming Audio System was developed in collaboration with legendary Swiss audio company, Revox, which has built some of the most influential studio audio equipment. The AVA Streaming Audio System supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and UPNP.
Intended as a true-stereo 2.1 channel system, the AVA Streaming Audio System consists of two compact AVA compact speakers (A1/P1) and the AVA B1 Bass Model.
AVA Speakers
The AVA A1 Speaker features a full-range driver and all the other required components including the streamer, premium DAC and DSP, and two digital amplifiers designed to provide an excellent stereo music listing experience.
Additionally, the AVA A1 Speaker features an integrated Touch UI that enables quick access to important controls, including instant-play of up to five pre-set favorites directly from the speaker. The AVA A1 Speaker includes a built-in rechargeable battery further ensuring uninterrupted audio playback.
The AVA P1 speaker is passive and contains all the speaker components of the A1, but connects to the A1 for amplification and audio processing features.
AVA Bass Module
The AVA B1 Bass Module connects to the A1 via KleerNet, a wireless high-end audio protocol with zero latency. Together, the AVA speakers and bass module seamlessly combine the simplicity and versatility of connected speakers with the sound quality of true high-end speakers.
The B1 is a unique, and critical part of the full AVA system. Within the AVA 2.1 Streaming Audio System, all controls such as gain, phase, and the frequency crossover point are handled dynamically. In real-time, the DSP controls which audio frequencies are sent to the connected components within the system and adjust playback depending on what is called for by the source audio. The AVA B1 Bass Module is a critical extension of the AVA Streaming Audio System, designed to deliver an excellent listening experience.
AVA 2.1 Streaming System Setup Options
- Active-Active: In this setup option, two A1 Speakers and 1 AVA B1 Bass Module are used and connected wirelessly via KleerNet
- Active-Passive: In this setup option, one A1 Speaker is paired with 1 P1 Speaker and one B1 Bass module. The A1 and P1 are connected to each other via a provided cable. The two amplifiers in the A1 speaker provide the power, as well as the needed audio signal. to the P1. The A1 connects to the B1 wirelessly via KleerNet.
AVA Remote Control
The AVA Remote (RX1) provides operational convenience. It’s powered by a quad-core, 2 GHz processor. The AVA Remote is an Android-based touchscreen remote control and the world’s first Google Certified remote control. This allows the remote to unlock the full capabilities of the Google Play Store, enabling the download and use of native Android Apps for smart home systems and device control directly from the AVA Remote. The AVA Remote is compatible with Control4, Savant, Crestron, Sonos, Lutron, and more…
The AVA remote’s touchscreen provides a smooth and rapid response for actions. It also includes a speaker and microphone for access to Google Assistant voice control and can also be used as an intercom. The AVA Remote also features Bluetooth, NFC, an accelerometer, an integrated rear-panel fingerprint sensor, and GPS.
The AVA remote is not only integral to the operation of the streaming audio system but can serve as the central control for a wide range of smart home devices. Put your smartphone away when you are at home and let the AVA remote take over!
The AVA Remote package includes the Remote, Docking station, USB A-C cable, and power adapter.
