AV Toolbox greets audiences at the IOV 2007 Exhibition

The Institute of Videography 2007 Exhibition was a great show this year with many interesting exhibits and screenings in the theatres. AV Toolbox, a division of TV One Ltd, was amongst the companies showing-off their product ranges in this annual show held in Coventry, UK, and was delighted with the response.

Simon Mattingly, Sales Executive for AV Toolbox says, “We are very happy with the show this year. We had a lot of interest in our existing and new products that have recently joined the AV Toolbox product line, in particular the HD-SDI and DVI Converters.” Mattingly goes on, “The visitors’ interest in the AV Toolbox products was overwhelming and it was great to be able to converse directly with the people in the industry. The feedback that we receive from these shows is invaluable to a manufacturing company such as ours and I am already looking forward to the next one.”

The HD-SDI and DVI converters being shown on the AV Toolbox Stand were the 1T-C2-511 SD/HD-SDI to DVI Converter and the 1T-C2-520 DVI to SD/HD-SDI Converter. Designed for broadcast and professional use, these products provide a highly reliable conversion within a compact desktop unit (optional rackmount kits are available). HD-SDI HDTV and DVI-D HD resolutions from 720p to 1080i can be input/output by these high-performance units with Serial Digital Video up to 1.485Gbits per second being accommodated. The 1T-C2-511 can also convert 525i and 625i SD-SDI signals to 480p and 576p respectively and can also extract the Embedded Stereo Audio from the SD or HD-SDI signals to output these in analog and AES3-id digital formats. The 1T-C2-520 can also convert an analog YPbPr or RGBHV signal to HD-SDI as well as a standard analog YUV signal at 525i or 625i to SD-SDI.

Also amongst the key products being shown this year were the new CS-320 and CS-450 Scan Converters. Some consumers may recognise these products from when they were previously available from TV One. Having now been upgraded to being fully RoHS compliant, these premium-quality units have now joined the AV Toolbox range and are still as popular as ever. These compact units can receive PC and MAC computer resolutions and using award-winning CORIO technology can down convert to provide crisp, clear video images in Composite, S-Video and RGBS formats as well as also having a computer monitor lopp-through. The automatic picture sizing and resolution detection makes set up easy and both units have PAL and NTSC selectable outputs. The CS-450 Eclipse also adds Genlock and an Overlay feature to its arsenal allowing the user to add PC graphics to a video feed and output the entire image to a video monitor.

These products and many more can be viewed on the AV Toolbox website www.avtoolbox.co.uk, alternatively you can contact their European Sales and Technical Department on +44 (0) 1843 873307 or at sales.europe@avtoolbox.com.
