Alchemy Ships New HDTV Lip-Sync Error Solutions

VENTURA, Calif., June 26, 2006 — Startup brand Alchemy² has begun shipping its new DDL4 and D.DaD Digital Delay components which address a new problem caused by High Definition video’s extensive processing requirements: from pre and post production, to broadcast, to playback on your TV… resulting in audio being delivered a split second ahead of the video. “Lip Sync Error” is increasingly being recognized as a real problem by many home theater owners. And while some surround processors and recent receivers are beginning to pay attention, to date their solutions only pay “lip service” to the problem.

The DDL4 and D.DaD feature:

· Reduces audio/video “lip-sync error caused by video-processing delay common in today’s high definition playback, up to 1 second in 1mS or .25 video frame increments

· Digital in/out for 4 sources (2 optical, 2 coax) each with individual delay settings

· Full-featured IR Remote provides 10 additional preset delay settings

· Built-in IR Code Learner allows control by any IR remote…provides for simultaneous source switching with your theaters’ a/v receiver/processor

· RS232 port for advanced system control and upgrades

· Compact sculpted aluminum chassis, rear IR sensor port allows “behind a door” control

· Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF)

The D.DaD provides all the features of the DDL4 adding precise de-jittering circuitry. Designed to enhance the mediocre audio playback sections found on many of today’s DVD players and set-top boxes, the benefits of low jitter digital to analog conversion has long appreciated by audiophiles (pioneered by Alchemy² engineers) and studio professionals. D.DaD provides an ideal upgrade for the discerning home theater owner.

The DDL4, D.DaD, and original DDL2 are available from Alchemy² via www.alchemy2.com and a number of selected web retailers. Regional distributors are also being added to address the growing demand from high-end custom installers.
