ACCELL Announces Worlds First Mini HDMI Cable

UltraCam line includes industry’s first Mini HDMI cable designed for digital camera and camcorder enthusiasts seeking enhanced connectivity and performance

CEDIA, DENVER, September 11, Accell, a provider of premium audio/video interconnects, today announced the addition of the Mini HDMI cable to their UltraCam product line. Designed for users of digital cameras and camcorders, the new cable will be available in a 7-foot length.

Accell will showcase the new Mini HDMI cable as well as their full line of interconnects for audio and video connoisseurs at CEDIA Expo, September 14 — 17 in booth 681. CEDIA EXPO is the top show in the residential electronic systems contractor industry that includes custom home theater, multi-room audio and video, lighting control, environmental control, home networking, home automation, residential information technology and systems, security, and more.

HDMI facilitates the transmission of both audio and video over a single cable. Until now, however, HDMI connectors were too large to use in portable audio/video devices such as camcorders and digital cameras. The new Mini HDMI connector features a compact form factor, which allows for easy integration of HDMI into portable devices.

“Accell understands the A/V market and the importance of portable, high-performance connectivity and its influence on the signal and the overall user experience,” said Tenny Sin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Accell. “The digital imaging market continues to expand because consumers are investing in the latest digital cameras and camcorders to capture life’s memories. Accell’s Mini HDMI cable is designed for optimum performance, seamless portability and ease of use.”

The Mini HDMI Digital Camera/Camcorder cable features precision gold-plated contacts and connectors, which provide a solid bridge to transport information reliably and quickly. Its compact, flexible design is ideal for easy packing and travel.
