Buddy has a receiver not working it says on it MULTISTAR and COOLTEC what software does this use.

It doesn't look as though there is a fix yet (or possibly ever) for the Cooltecs.

If it is Multistar Pantec MX (flashed as pansat 2500a), use 277t.
mine works great .

Thats what I dont get , does multi star make a cooltec and a pantec or are they the same thing.

is there a number on it to like 4000pro? most the mstar cooltec boxes are c.oolsat clones

No it just says multistar and underneath cooltec in small letter, poor guy was told it was a c@@lsat 4ooo and paid like 220 for it, so I thought it could maybe use pansat clone bin as some multistar are pansat clone, oh well I guess he is SOL

well look at the firmwaer that is in it now and see if its a older coolsat4000 file.
