It will not know what it's scanning! FTA 101 - if you're using a switch, you cannot turn it off when you scan unless you bypass it! You will not have signal if you turn the switch off without bypassing it... LK - You want dibs on this one? Is it me? |

I can only stress what he's been stressing for the longest. This is a hobby and for those starting to learn - rather then asking questions that have been answered God knows how many times, they need to read. This has been around for a while, so just because someone is starting new at this, doesn't mean everyone has. Just READ. You'll find most if not all your questions have been asked by someone before. Most of us have learned by trial and error. Some of us by reading. I'm no expert at this, but I do have good knowledge and it really gets old when you're asked the same question over and over and over and over - well, you get the picture. |

He's mad because he treats most people like crap and they fight back with him because they don't like to be treated like crap. No one said he didn't help and everyone appreciates his help but his help comes with disrespect! He has a temper and flys off the handle. Things will never change, people will always pop in and ask a goofy question. Most of the time it's from people that have never posted here before. They get caught up in a problem and jump in real fast because they are anxious. You can ask someone to go and Read without being rude! All I know is there are several people that help out on a regular basis and LK helps the most. Thing is, he doesn't have to run and hide for a day trying to prove what point? No one said he didn't help...people fight with him cause of his behavior! Him running off is just like throwing a tantrum. BTW...he just loves to read people talking about him. God knows I can understand his frustration but he turns this place in to a cluster F*uck when he constantly bickers. Are not smart enough to figure out how to aviod all that? Sure it all gets old, but what do you do...bit*ching all the time doesn't stop NEW people from constantly coming in and doing it. Oh well! You got your point across without being rude. I noticed that when DN interrupted my service for payment information update (??) my Pansat was also down. When I called Dish for tech support and after updating the information, they wanted me to power down the receiver and back up. And instantaneously my FTA was up too showing programming (didn't turn off my Pansat 2700A) connected to a different TV. Is this pure coincedence or is there a known way to control a Super Dish from the dish receiver? I thought the smarts are in the receiver and not in the antenna itself. I get most international channels but no HBO etc on my FTA (I don't subscribe to HBO on my regular DN service). Thoughts?? |

Don't be surprised if U're missing some channels now...DN is moving hundreds of channels almost daily to new transponders and satellites...many previous channels are now spotbeamed specific to a specific area only....U will have to delete old channels and do new scans frequently or use the newer TP autodetect bins... Coo*lsat: KEY Line 10 and 11 are for Idea Key 0 and Line 20 and 21 are for Idea Key 1 Pansat: key 00 for Idea Key 0 and Key 01 for Idea key 1 Viewsat: line 08 and 09 for Idea Key 0 and lines 88 and 89 for Idea key 1 For Receivers with only two Key Lines, Enter Active Idea Key into 00 and 01 |
