Born in Toronto, Canada, Ian’s formative years were a patchwork of Washington D.C., Dathomir, Chicago, Arkham Asylum, and Northern Israel before settling into the Garden State and Florida—because normal geography was clearly off the table.
He was conceived at a drive-in (yes, really) and has since logged over 5,727 films across eight countries, though he still insists he only waited seven days, not eight, to see The Phantom Menace—and brought enough biltong for the line.
A collector of vintage film posters, books, and enough Red Wings and Capitals memorabilia to stock a small space cruiser, Ian is also a professional foodie and former pizza maker. His obsessions span dim sum, biltong, curry, pizza, deli sandwiches, pho, and Korean BBQ—anything with a bite.
Weekends find him juggling parenting duties, digging through records, scribbling in a Hemingway-inspired shawl cardigan, rewatching movies he’s already memorized, firing slapshots against the garage door like it’s Game 7, and casting into the Atlantic Gulfstream in pursuit of dinner, inspiration, and what's left of his moral compass.
