COMPUTEX, Taipei (Taiwan) — May 31, 2005 — James Wu, CEO for Visson Technologies, Inc., today announced the release of their new VI1031T set-top box, a mobile digital TV Receiver providing exceptional DVB-T reception at high-speed driving conditions.
“With our VI1031T receiver we aimed to further enhance our range of DVB-T mobile receivers, and as our new top-of-the-range DTV module, the VI1031T will without a doubt appeal to motorists in niche automotive markets,” Wu stated today at Visson’s product launch at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, in Taipei. Visson’s VI1031T utilizes Doppler compensation and “diversity reception”, and provides unbeatable picture quality at speeds up to 150km/hour, a factor that clearly distinguish this product from the vast amount of mobile DTV receivers worldwide.

A demo of the VI1031T Mobile DVB-T solution can be viewed at the COMPUTEX Show in Taipei, Taiwan (May 31 — June 4, 2005), at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (Suite 1334).

“The VI1031T is our latest quest for digital excellence,” added Sherry Tsai, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Visson. “Through numerous technology advances in 2004 and 2005, our company has shifted its focus to high-end mobile DTV receivers, navigation systems, and integrating these technologies with entertainment modules. It is this capability, to combine diverse technologies across multiple platforms, which we believe will ultimately distinguish Visson as a true Global DTV leader. Our company has always prided itself in taking on technology challenges that many innovators steer away from, and we will continue building on our strong knowledge base,” Tsai further added.

Convenience, ease-of-use, and ultimate in-car entertainment
With a compact and elegant design, and due to its format and small form factor (A5 / 1kg), the VI1031T is an ideal option for OEM/ODM markets, and for installations together with CD shuttles and other in-car electronic appliances. In addition to unequaled DTV reception and picture quality, the VI1031T features are aimed to provide convenience, ease-of-use, and ultimate in-car entertainment to motorists. It offers standard DVB-T functions, Tele Text and EPG functions, multi-language support, and includes an external NTSC/PAL switch. Furthermore, it is equipped with anti-shock, anti-violation and car-break video-shutoff functions.
