“Homevision’s new South Florida showroom is a great step toward opening the eyes of local home theater enthusiasts to the stunning image realism of Vidikron’s displays,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing for Vidikron. “We’re tremendously excited that every single Vidikron projector and flat-panel plasma will be hooked up at the showroom. There are going to be a number of different settings represented, from contemporary home theater to applications like an office boardroom, which is a great way to demonstrate Vidikron’s versatility. And with each of our products integrated into a fluid, user-friendly environment, visitors to the grand opening will see how seamlessly our displays complement any lifestyle.”
Andrew Wright, the general manager of Homevision, says the company’s goal is to give customers an experience that moves beyond the typical sales methods. “The team at Homevision is seeking to distinguish itself by providing customers an all-around solution that unites the finest in home entertainment with their home and family’s individual tastes. Vidikron’s products and company philosophy support the customized approach we take in addressing customers’ true needs and designing the kinds of systems that take their breath away. Vidikron’s deep product line gives us the palette of options we need to create the perfect solution for each of our clients.”
Vidikron’s full lines of projectors and plasma monitors are designed to give custom installers a versatile range of choices in providing unmatched performance to home theater viewers in a number of different environments. For example, the flagship Vision Model 100, which will be on display in Homevision’s main gallery, is engineered for super-high light output where most families like to watch movies: the family room, great room, and living room. With its advanced LightAmp engine and integrated Imagix processing, the Model 100 achieves tremendous brightness in such rooms, where ambient light can reduce the impact of a high-definition film image.
Vidikron’s Vision Model 80 Projection System, which is being presented in Homevision’s dedicated home cinema, features a remarkable light engine utilizing three high-definition D-ILA (Direct Image Light Amplifier) chips. With an ultra-high resolution of 1920 x 1080, and outstanding accuracy across the entire color spectrum, the Model 80’s stunning detail and video fidelity exceeds most of today’s source material. The system produces 1,050 ANSI lumens of light output (CSMS Light Output of 18.1 ft-Lamberts) and achieves a 2,100:1 contrast ratio home theater screens up to 240 inches wide.
In addition to the Model 100 and Model 80, the Homevision facility will showcase the three-chip Vision Model 60 projector, and the single-chip Model 40 and Model 20 projectors.
From the PlasmaView line, visitors will get to see the VP-42, VP-42HD, VP-50, and VP-60 flat-panel plasma monitors. These sleek and stylish displays not only give demanding viewers world-class image fidelity on their high-definition panels, each features an industrial design that, in itself, adds sophistication to any contemporary home theater. Screen sizes of 42, 50, and 61 inches and a broad complement of connectivity options ensure a perfect fit within a variety of interiors, reliable performance with advanced video sources, and seamless integration within home automation control systems.
