Vidikron Introduces Two Entry Level Projectors with High End Credentials

UNION CITY, CA — Sept. 21, 2005 — First time home theater enthusiasts who want to enjoy Vidikron’s world-class picture quality in their home now have two new exciting options from the leader in high-performance video entertainment. The Vision Model 10 and Model 12 each deliver Vidikron’s signature image quality and an impressive industrial design worthy of higher-end displays. The Model 10 and Model 12 will ship in October with MSRPs of $3,495.00 and $4,995.00 respectively. Both will be available in Vidikron’s Classic White and Graphite Gray.

“With the Model 10 and Model 12, our dealers can introduce clients on fixed budgets to the thrilling experience that can only come from a Vidikron display,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing at Vidikron. “We didn’t hold back on any aspect when we designed these two projectors. Each includes our own Imagix processing and exceptionally precise DLP technologies that together bring home the natural, fluid image quality you expect from the best professional cinema houses. These two new additions to our lineup give our dealers very exciting options for delivering widescreen excitement within any home.”

Both the Model 10 and 12 incorporate features that take full advantage of today’s advanced standard and high definition video sources. Each is equipped with a precision optics package, generous horizontal & vertical lens shift, and electronic keystone correction for flexible placement within virtually any architecture. The Vision 10 and 12 both feature a substantial light output powerful enough to create a great picture on screens up to 10 feet wide.

Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix video processing has been integrated within each projector chassis to produce near high definition image quality even from standard video sources, and provide artifact-free scaling of higher-resolution formats.

Among the most impressive attributes of the Vision 10 and 12is their ability to meet the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) industry standards for video fidelity and accurate gray scale tracking. These elements are vital to achieving true-to-life color and superior black and white performance.

The Vision 10 and 12 accept high definition DVI (HDCP compliant) signals from today’s latest digital sources, plus provide a generous array of component, composite, S-video and VGA inputs. Discrete IR and RS-232 control is also included for integration with other audio/video components and automated control systems.
