Third Video Advantage product keeps the video capture process simple and fun

YONKERS, N.Y., February 23, 2005 — Turtle Beach today announced the Video Advantage USB–a complete hardware/software solution for converting video from analog camcorders and VCRs into digital format. Video Advantage USB joins its successful predecessors, Video Advantage PCI and Video Advantage ADX, as an affordable, all-inclusive, easy-to-use video-capture and editing system for authoring, archiving and sharing videos on DVD, CD-RW or via the Internet.
“This USB version of Video Advantage is small enough to fit in your pocket yet offers the same high-quality, analog video capture with DV format conversion as our desktop PCI versions.” said Dominick Pagnozzi, Turtle Beach VP of Sales. “Our growing line of Video Advantage products now includes both USB and PCI solutions, allowing users to turn their laptops into portable video production systems or desktops into powerful video production workstation with front panel access.”
Unlike most other devices that only capture video in compressed MPEG format, Video Advantage USB utilizes a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, allowing it to capture video in high-quality DV format or compressed MPEG formats, providing an impressively versatile solution that addresses virtually any video requirement. The USB plug-n-play interface makes installation quick and easy. A unique, low-power design eliminates bulky power adapters required with most other units, making it easy to carry in your laptop bag or to swap between multiple PCs.
The user-friendly package includes comprehensive video and audio production software suite for video capture, editing, authoring, format conversion and transfer to DVD. Programs include AD FullCap for capturing in AVI or DV formats, Cyberlink PowerDirector DE for capturing in MPEG format and authoring movies or photo slide shows, Cyberlink PowerProducer Express for transferring to DVD, SVCD, VCS, DV Tape or streaming video for the Web. To enhance the audio tracks in video productions, the package includes AudioSurgeon for recording and editing audio, and a comprehensive library of music and sound effects.
The Video Advantage USB has an SRP of $129.95.
Turtle Beach makes its entire line of products available via its Web site (www.TurtleBeach.com), direct sales center (1-800-233-9377 or 914-966-0600) distribution partners.
