Toshiba Excite7 Tablet

Toshiba today introduced the Excite 7, a seven-inch Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean tablet, powered by a Rockchip RK3188 quad-core processor, with 8GB storage for $169.99. The silver Excite 7 tablet weighs a mere 12.4 ounces and measures in at 7.8 inches x 4.6 inches x 0.43 inches (W x D x H), making it extremely convenient for consumers to place into a bag and weave portable computing and entertainment into their everyday on-the-go lives. Its seven-inch diagonal display supports a 1024 x 600 resolution and capacitive five-finger multi-touch, providing consumers with an enjoyable tablet experience with apps, videos and games. The Excite 7 features a 3.0 megapixel rear-facing camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, providing photography, videography and video-conferencing support.

Equipped with a quad-core processor and 1GB of memory, the Excite 7 tablet enables high-speed performance when being used for playing games from Google Play and watching videos. Android 4.2.2, Jelly Bean enables effortless app and Web browsing and efficient multitasking, as well as streamlined gesture keyboard typing and multi-user support with personalized profiles for all members of the family. A single charge provides up to 12 hours of general usage or up to 7.5 hours of video playback.

The Excite 7 sports stereo speakers that have been enhanced with SRS audio to provide excellent music and a more natural sound quality. The tablet also supports Bluetooth v4.0, allowing music streaming to external speakers for a more comprehensive audio experience, and comes with micro USB and microSD ports, enabling consumers to extend the tablet’s storage capacity.
