TCL Launches Budget-Priced T7 Series QLED TVs Up to 85-inches

TCL’s T7 Series QLED TVs slot in below the QM6K TVs in 2025, opting for Direct LED backlighting instead of MiniLED.

2025 TCL T7 series QLED 4K TV

TCL isn’t slowing down in 2025. After flooding the TV market with its X11K, QM9K, QM8K, QM7K, QM6K, and flagship QM10M RGB MiniLED TVs, the Chinese brand is now turning its attention to value-minded buyers. The new T7 Series QLED TVs bring much of TCL’s color and processing tech to a more accessible price tier—dropping the costly MiniLED backlighting but keeping the punchy quantum-dot performance that’s made TCL one of the most competitive TV makers in the world.

The 2025 TCL T7 Series 4K UHD HDR QLED TV with Google TV is built for viewers who want cinematic visuals and fluid performance—without dropping flagship-level cash. Available in 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch sizes, the T7 line blends TCL’s proven QLED color technology with a smooth, responsive user experience powered by Google TV, making it a strong contender in the midrange market.

TCL T7 Series 2025 Key Features and Specifications

Like TCL’s higher-end QM and X11 models, the T7 Series uses an advanced LCD panel paired with Quantum Dot technology to deliver rich, accurate colors covering nearly the full DCI-P3 color gamut. It also employs a high-brightness LED backlight for improved contrast and clarity—but skips the more expensive MiniLED system, keeping costs down while maintaining impressive picture performance.

TCL AiPQ™ Pro Processor: This processor intelligently optimizes color, contrast, and clarity for stunning 4K HDR performance across formats like Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG.

Ultra-Smooth Motion: The T7 Series delivers a native refresh rate of up to 120Hz on the 55-inch model, while the 65, 75, and 85-inch versions step up to 144Hz for even smoother motion. Whether you’re watching fast-paced sports or gaming, the T7 keeps the action crisp and blur-free.

Immersive Sound: Every T7 Series model supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital+ audio processing for a more spacious, cinematic soundstage. The 55-, 65-, and 75-inch models feature a tuned 2-channel audio system, while the 85-inch version upgrades to a 2.1-channel Onkyo sound system with a dedicated subwoofer for added depth and impact.

Smart TV Features: Powered by Google TV, the T7 Series offers instant access to thousands of streaming apps, including Netflix, YouTube, Disney+/Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV+, and more. It also includes a wide selection of free live TV channels, personalized recommendations, and full integration with Google Assistant for voice control.

Control Options: Alongside the included wireless remote, the T7 Series supports hands-free voice control through its built-in far-field microphones. It’s fully compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, giving users flexible, convenient ways to control their TV and connected smart home devices.

The Bottom Line

The TCL 2025 T7 Series hits a sweet spot for everyday viewing—offering 4K UHD resolution, Quantum Dot color, Dolby Atmos audio, Google TV, and native refresh rates up to 144Hz—all without sending your credit card into cardiac arrest. It’s a smart, well-rounded option for movies, TV shows, and casual gaming alike.

That said, if you’re after TCL’s top-tier innovations—like MiniLED backlighting with Halo Control, Dolby Flex Connect, a Bang & Olufsen speaker system, higher peak brightness, and ATSC 3.0/NextGen TV support—you’ll need to look higher up the range at the QM6K, QM7K, or QM8K models.

However, it’s somewhat odd to see initial pricing higher than TCL’s QM6K 2025 TVs, which are thinner and should look slightly better.
