Taylor Guitars Opens International Service Center in Germany

El, Cajon, CA — December 2, 2008 — In response to requests for the complete “Taylor Experience”, Taylor Guitars (www.taylorguitars.com) is now offering the company’s expert craftsmanship and skilled repair services at a new service center in Germany. Located in Dusseldorf, and through the company’s partnership with Fender GMBH, the workshop enlists seasoned repair technicians with hands-on experience and expert knowledge of Taylor guitars to give each guitar tune-up, repair or modification that signature Taylor touch. The new location is one of three international service centers as the company currently operates one in England and another in Sweden.

Earlier this year David Hosler, vice president of customer service and repair, traveled to Dusseldorf to set-up the new service center to mirror the US-based workshop tools, machinery, and most importantly, repair techniques. “Here at Taylor, we want our owners to know that when they send their guitar to a Taylor service center, it’s like sending their guitar to the Taylor Factory. The machinery and tools are the same, and the repairmen have a wealth of experience working on Taylor Guitars,” shares Hosler.

As part of Taylor’s commitment to quality, the Dusseldorf service center honors warranty services and can perform necessary repairs and modifications to make the guitar the instrument of the owner’s dreams. The center also offers four comprehensive maintenance packages: Refresh, Revive, Renew or Rejuvenate.

From the leisurely player to the devoted musician, each maintenance package is designed to address the needs of the guitar and restore it to its peak performance. For a quick tune up, Refresh, a standard service package, is designed to give a guitar that “out of the box” look and feel. This package includes re-humidification, fretboard cleaning and conditioning, as well as tuner tightening and adjustment, to name a few features. For the gigging player, the Renew package is suggested, which includes, but is not limited to, neck angle adjustment, refret of the fretboard, as well as nut and bridge adjustments. Any service package can be customized to the requirements of the guitar and player.

Also at the workshop, owners will have the chance to upgrade or install an Expression System on their acoustic model, 300 series and higher.

Starting at €95 for the Refresh package up to €525 for a complete Expression System installation, interested owners can arrange to revitalize, tune-up or repair their guitar by contacting +49 (0) 211-417030 or kundenservice@fender.com
