The pool of true wireless earbuds continues to get deeper and deeper and whilst choice is a good thing for consumers because it creates options at every possible price point, there is very little differentiation when it comes to features and connectivity. Very few products still offer support for Bluetooth aptX Lossless or aptX Adaptive and there is a lot of confusion in the market. No wonder so many ultimately decide to go with Apple AirPods. Status Audio is hoping that their Between 3ANC appeal to that type of customer.
Status Audio already offers the Between Pro True Wireless Earbuds ($169) without noise cancellation in its product line but has a new entry, the Between 3ANC ($249) with active noise cancellation.
To start, the model name is certainly odd, so let’s find out what these new earbuds actually offer.

According to Status Audio, the Between 3ANC are comfortable true wireless Bluetooth earbuds that incorporate Triple drivers (Two balanced armature drivers + one dynamic driver in each earbud.), active noise canceling, transparency mode, and wireless charging.
Triple Drivers: The same triple-driver acoustic system of the Between Pro is included, with subtle tuning refinements for increased resolution and clarity.
Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation: This provides noise suppression up to 38 decibels.
Transparency Mode: This allows users to pipe in environmental noise with the push of a button when hearing what is going on outside of the earbuds is necessary.
Play Time: For music listening, the Between 3ANC provides 8 hours of continuous audio playback with ANC on or 12 hours of playback with ANC off.
Environmental Protection: IPX-5 water resistance provides protection from environmental effects so that your outdoor run, hike, bike, and workout are unimpeded.
Microphones: Six beamforming microphones with environmental noise reduction (ENR) provide excellent call quality. In addition, Zoom, Skype, Facetime, Google Hangouts, and wireless chat applications can be used with the Between 3ANC.
Companion App: The Status Audio App (iOS/Android) provides user customization. Users can change listening modes, customize their acoustic experience, receive firmware updates, and more.
