Stars Shine Down On CEDIA EXPO 2005 During The Home Theater Walk Of Fame Exhibit

UNION CITY, CA — August 4, 2005 — Runco International, the world leader in high-end home cinema video display technology and a Platinum Corporate Sponsor of the Elf Foundation, will kick off CEDIA EXPO 2005 on a star-studded note with their “Home Theater Walk of Fame” fundraising event to benefit the foundation’s ongoing project work. The individual Walk of Fame Stars, made possible through donations to the Elf Foundation, will be displayed along the red carpet that leads to Runco’s Grand Theater in Booth #124 in the Main Hall of the Indianapolis Convention Center, September 7-11. In keeping with Runco’s booth theme, “The Stars of Home Theater,” show attendees will be able to demonstrate their support for Elf’s “Rooms of Magic” theater program that benefits sick children across the country.

“We are pleased to provide this opportunity to both the Elf Foundation and the attendees at CEDIA,” said Sam Runco, chief executive officer of Runco. “With our ‘Stars of Home Theater’ theme this year, we believe that a visit to the Runco booth should be a fun, feel-good kind of experience. By teaming up with the Elf Foundation in bringing more theaters to kids who can use a bit of movie magic, everyone’s a VIP.”

For a contribution of $125, CEDIA attendees will have the opportunity to “See their Name in Lights” as they are displayed on one of the 120 Stars that are available–proclaiming them a generous “Celebrity” within the home theater industry. The fundraiser, which is expected to raise $15,000, will help the Elf Foundation continue their vision of building “Rooms of Magic” entertainment theaters that bring the magic of music and film to children’s medical facilities throughout North America.

“Not only has Runco committed to another year as an Elf Foundation Platinum Corporate Sponsor, but they have also come up with an ingenious way to let other show attendees participate in sharing the magic that is Elf,” said foundation president, Douglas Weinstein. “Sam has been a steadfast advocate for Elf and his generous support insures that we’ll be able to brighten a great many more little lives with our ‘Room of Magic’ theater program.”

As a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, all contributions to the Elf Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent available by law. For more information regarding the Elf Foundation and their work, visit them at www.elfSystems.org or ring the Elves at 323-572-1700.
