The Sonos Move 2 Offers Improved Battery Life

Sonos Move 2 is an ultra durable water resistant portable Bluetooth speaker with improved stereo sound and 24 hour battery life for $449.

Sonos Move 2 portable Bluetooth Speaker Black Carry

The rumor about the Sonos Move 2 we reported last month has finally become official. Sonos has introduced Move 2, an ultra durable water resistant portable wireless speaker, which improves upon the original Move in a number of ways.

It also launches at the same time of the new Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM that offers superior durability in regard to dust, water, and abuse. However, the new Sonos Move 2 offers seven additional hours of battery life from a full charge.

Unless you plan on dropping this in the pool (it will not survive), seven hours of additional battery life and a superior OS are genuine points of differentiation that would make us lean towards the Sonos.

What’s new?

Sonos Move 2 bumps up the price $50, but adds stereo sound and extends battery life to 24 hours (previously was 11 hours). There are new touch controls and a USB-C port for charging or connecting audio devices. The company says Move 2 is upgraded inside and out to include all-new hardware and software, while also claiming it’s their most sustainable portable product to date.
