New 17, 19, 20, and 22-inch Monitors Offer Ergonomic Design, 8,000:1 Contrast Ratio

Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and PDP display products, today announced its new series of high-performance monitors ranging from 17 to 22-inches — the SyncMaster 743BX, 943BX, 943BWX, 2043BWX and 2243BWX — designed to help enterprise users drive productivity in even the most demanding work environments.

The new series of displays features a height adjustable stand, providing for height, rotate and swivel capabilities. On account of the monitors’ exceptional ergonomic capabilities, these displays facilitate a comfortable, highly-customizable viewing experience, helping to drive productivity and create a flexible working environment. To further enhance the overall viewing experience, the BWX widescreen models offer a true 16:10 landscape or 10:16 portrait orientation, allowing users to truly accommodate tall or wide content. Additionally, all the new displays feature an ultra-slim (15 mm) bezel, offering end-users ample space for viewing multiple computer applications and images. The slim bezel also allows users to “tile” the monitors side by side for increased productivity.

Featuring an exceptional dynamic contrast ratio of up to 8,000:1, the series of monitors offers unrivaled image quality, delivering clearer and crisper images and more true-to-life colors. To further enhance the color quality, the displays feature Samsung’s proprietary MagicColor™ technology, which intelligently enhances color automatically for areas that need color correction. Furthermore, the new monitors incorporate DVI with HDCP, allowing them to deliver accurate video images without distorting the original picture quality.

“By combining an ultra-high contrast ratio with a compact, ergonomic design, the BX and BWX series of monitors is an excellent choice for any commercial user who seeks superior image quality and a flexible viewing experience,” said Young Bae, senior product manager, display products, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “These high-performance monitors are an appealing option for our channel partners looking to offer excellent specifications at a reasonable price.”

The series monitors are not only functional; they are also stylish, with rounded edges and a glossy finish. The monitors also feature “buttonless” touch controls for optimizing brightness, color and image size.

Like all Samsung displays, the BX and BWX monitors are backed by a three-year limited warranty on labor and parts, including the backlight, as well as toll-free technical support for the life of the display.

The reasonably-priced monitors are available for the following prices:

  • SyncMaster 743BX: $239 ESP
  • SyncMaster 943BX: $279 ESP
  • SyncMaster 943BWX: $269 ESP
  • SyncMaster 2043BWX: $309 ESP
  • SyncMaster 2243BWX: $359 ESP

All monitors are available through Samsung resellers and distribution channels, which can be located by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG or by visiting http://www.samsung.com.
