NEWMARKET, N.H., October 23, 2008– Russound, the #1 brand in multiroom audio, today announced that Charlie Porritt was promoted to the position of CEO, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Russound’s President, Maureen K. Baldwin, and Joe Brouillet, who served as Russound’s CEO from September 2007. Mr. Brouillet is retiring in January 2009 and moving into a part-time role as senior advisor to the CEO.

Porritt first joined Russound in 2000, beginning as a regional manger before quickly moving into the National Sales Director’s role and, in 2007, Vice President of Sales. It was during this period that Russound advanced to the head of the multiroom audio category.
Porritt’s resume includes successful sales stints with noted manufacturers SpeakerCraft, Harman International, BIC and Jamo. Throughout his career, Charlie has focused on the custom installation and home theater specialty markets with an eye toward growing the industry for all participants, from distributors to integrators and other manufacturers.
