CHICAGO, IL –June 7, 2006 — Peerless Industries,Inc., the industry leader in professional grade audio/visual mounting solutions, today introduced its PLA series of articulating wall mounts for flat panel screens, featuring smooth articulation, cable management and a visually appealing appearance that can be easily incorporated into commercial and residential applications.
The new PLA series of articulating wall mounts for flat panel screens includes the PLA50 for 32-inch to 50-inch flat panel screens weighing up to 150 pounds and the PLA60 and PLAV60, which support 37-inch to 60-inch flat panel screens up to 175 pounds. The PLAV70 features a dual-arm design for 42-inch to 71-inch flat panel screens and supports weights up to an impressive 200 pounds. The PLA ‘V’ models feature a vertical adjustment feature that allows the screen to be
raised or lowered up to one inch during or after installation making previously difficult installations such as recess mounting into a cubby hole or custom frame very easy. “The PLA series is very exciting, because it’s now the only all-steel constructed mount with a complete set of features that enable easy installation and versatile functionality. Easy-to-Route Cable Management System and a Clean Appearance, The new PLA series articulating mounts are designed with Peerless’ new easy-to-route cable and cord management system. This system includes a sheath which cables and cords can be threaded through easily, along with routing guides for simple cable and cord management. The PLAV70 incorporates added plastic cord covers that simply snap into place for added support. Each mount in the PLA series conceals and controls cables and cords through repeated use, resulting in clean, visually pleasing installations. The Perfect Viewing Angle and Safety The new PLA series of articulating wall mounts enable the flat panel screen to be positioned at the perfect viewing angle. Self-lubricating bushings provide easy and smooth articulation of a flat panel screen up to 200 pounds and provide 10 degree positive tilt and a 5 degree negative tilt, with up to 180 degrees of side-to-side swivel and up to 7 degrees left-to-right roll. When folded flat the PLA series hold a flat panel screen only 4.5 inches, plus the thickness of the adapter plate,
from the wall. All PLA models are UL listed and have been tested to hold four times the listed
load capacity, ensuring safety in commercial and residential applications.
