The first session Installing a Projector in any Environment offers hands-on exposure to solutions that simplify projector installation to save time and money in order to generate the most profits. The second session Mounting Solutions for Digital Signage introduces the booming digital signage industry and provides an overview of market opportunity, trends and insight on how to succeed in the business. In addition, each session earns one Renewal Unit (RU) credit that counts toward maintaining InfoComm’s General CTS and Specialized CTS Certification.
Training Sessions
Installing a Projector in any Environment session addresses issues such as security, vibration and other considerations that may need to be planned for in advance for the installation of a projector and will host a Q&A session to address installer questions. The session will provide insightful suggestions from industry experts on ways to resolve various projector mounting obstacles and attendees will participate in a hands-on demonstration on various projector mounting technologies, including Peerless’ revolutionary new PRG Precision Gear Projector Mount and versatile accessories that enable the selection of the best projector mounting solution for any project. Installing a Projector in any Environment will be held on June 19, 2007 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and taught by Derrik Lam, Director of Mounting Solutions Business Unit.
As the leading mount manufacturer for the digital signage industry Peerless will be hosting Mounting Solutions for Digital Signage session that will provide insight on how mounts directly impact digital signage, what products are available and what to look for to decrease installation time and increase profitability. Mounting Solutions for Digital Signage will be held on June 19, 2007 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and will be taught by Dale Smith, director of business development, digital signage, a published authority in mounting solution integration for digital signage applications and Derrik Lam, director of mounting solutions business unit.

About Derrik Lam, Director of Mounting Solutions Business Unit
Derrik Lam has over seven years of experience in the audio/visual mounting industry. Today, Derrik is the director of the mounting solutions business unit with Peerless Industries, Inc. where he leads product management and product marketing functions. Prior to this role Derrik oversaw product engineering, directing all aspects of product design, development and testing. Derrik was one of the industry pioneers in the development of flat panel and projector mounts and holds five design and utility patents.

As director of business development, digital signage, Dale Smith oversees national digital signage installations and programs for large-scale retail outlets. Smith has more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the audio/visual and case goods distribution industry. A qualified expert on digital signage, he has led merchandising, display and logistical efforts for major variety and home center chains such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Rite Aid, and more.
