The OtterBox Defender Series for the HTC P6500 provides three innovative layers of protection allowing for device mobility:
- Layer one: safeguards keypad, screen and camera from dust and dirt.
- Keypad and screen: includes two optional thermal formed protective clear membranes. One membrane provides a cut-out opening for use with the fingerprint reader. The other membrane covers the fingerprint reader for more complete protection.
- Camera: A scratch-resistant lens shields the camera
- Layer two: hi-impact polycarbonate shell
- Layer three: silicone skin that wraps over the device to absorb bump and shock*
The OtterBox features acoustic vents on the speakerphone and headset speaker to protect while allowing clear sound transmission. Sync/charge jack is accessible through a silicone plug and all buttons, camera and flash remain functional. The HTC P6500 incorporates enhanced security features such as a fingerprint ID sensor, which remains accessible through layer one with the cut-out opening. Case also includes a holster style ratcheting belt clip.
