OmniMount MotionPicture Series Power40 TV Mount

OmniMount releases a video parody aimed to increase brand and product awareness, also offering consumers a free Netflix subscription

OmniMount, the global leader in consumer and commercial A/V mounting and furniture solutions, has announced an exciting promotion to boost awareness about its MotionPicture Series’ Power40, the company’s award-winning remote controlled, motorized cantilever mount for medium-sized flat panels.

The promotion offers consumers that buy a Power40 from an authorized retailer or e-tailer, from now through June 30, 2009, a free 3 month subscription to Netflix, courtesy of OmniMount. Consumers are instructed to visit http://www.omnimount.com or http://www.omnimountpro.com to fill out the online form and mail or e-mail it in with a copy of the purchase receipt in order to receive their gift subscription.

The Power40 Netflix promotion comes during this time when the economic downturn has shifted consumer spending, with more people making their homes a central point of entertainment. “We are really energized about offering consumers a reward for investing in their media room,” said OmniMount’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Alex Robertson. “Our thought is simple: these consumers have spent significant money on a flat panel and our motorized cantilever mount. We want to show our gratitude for their purchase by putting their favorite movies on their new home entertainment system.”

In order to spread the word about the promotion virally, the company released a video parody that highlights some of the benefits of the Power40, set to hip-hop music. The video was created with the product’s target market in mind — web-savvy, early adopters looking for the newest gadgets in home entertainment. Written and filmed by OmniMount, the short spoof is also cast with employees and features an amateur rap.

About the Power40
OmniMount’s MotionPicture Series Power40 is the newest addition to the company’s motorized flat panel mount solutions, enabling viewers to tilt, pan and swivel a flat panel with the touch of a button. The Power40 fits most flat panels with screen sizes from 23 inches to 40 inches and weighing up to 66 pounds. It sits just 2.7 inches from the wall when in the fixed position, tilts from zero to 15 degrees to reduce glare and pans from zero to 20 degrees left and right for optimum viewing. The mount features a whisper-quiet 40dB motor, an installation template, level and instructions for simple and accurate mounting, and remote controlled operation for unparalleled convenience. To ensure safety, it features programmable wall detection, as well as safety mechanisms that stop motion when movement is obstructed. The Power40 is available at retailers nationwide; MSRP is $349.95.
