OmniMount Introduces Motion40 Motorized Mount

Manufacturer also offers dealers aggressive new pricing on existing Motion52 model.

OmniMount, the leading global manufacturer of mounting and furniture solutions for residential home entertainment, today announced the availability of the Motion40, a new remote-controlled motorized cantilever mount for medium-sized flat-panels, as well as an enticing price cut for its existing Motion52 model, which can handle the most popular large flat panel sizes. Together, the Motion40 and Motion52 comprise OmniMount’s compelling MotionPicture Series.

With the Motion40 and Motion52, every seat can be the best seat in the house. Both mounts, developed in partnership with Samsung, enable the viewer to tilt, pan and swivel a flat panel with just the touch of a button. Easy to use, with a virtually silent motor, each MotionPicture Series mount enables custom installers to deliver unparalleled convenience, elegance and style to the discerning home entertainment consumer.

The new Motion40 fits most flat panels with screen sizes from 23 inches to 40 inches and weighing up to 66 pounds. The Motion52 provides even greater levels of compatibility utilizing universal rails to accommodate flat panel brands industry-wide, and fits screen sizes from 37 inches to 52 inches and weighing up to 95 pounds. Both mounts tilt from zero to 15 degrees, and pan from zero to 20 degrees left and right.

“With the addition of the Motion40, our dealers now can offer the industry’s finest motorized mounts for flat-panel screen sizes from 23 inches all the way up to 52 inches,” said Brett Stenhouse, OmniMount’s vice president of marketing. “The MotionPicture Series epitomizes the OmniMount value proposition by seamlessly merging the finest technology and engineering with a keen consideration of contemporary design and lifestyle.”

The MotionPicture Series is designed to be unobtrusive yet versatile. The single-stud Motion40 features a maximum usable extension of 7.4 inches, while the double-stud Motion52 offers 8.9 inches. At less than three inches, the MotionPicture Series mounts’ profiles are among the lowest in the industry. Perhaps most impressively, their powerful motors are virtually silent, with the Motion40 at 40dB and the Motion52 at 45dB.

The included remote control enables the user to position the mount from anywhere in the room. Each mount is controllable via IR (two memory) and RS-232 (three memory) programmable positions. For greater safety, both mounts feature programmable wall detection, as well as safety mechanisms that stop motion when movement is obstructed. Each includes an installation template and level, as well as offer OmniMount’s exclusive Lift n’ Lock design for easy installation.

OmniMount’s price reduction on the Motion52 is in response to changing market dynamics. Given the market’s need for an aggressively priced, full-featured large motorized mount, OmniMount has decided to reduce the Motion52’s price from $799.95 to $599.95, effective immediately. With the Motion40 debuting at $399.95, OmniMount now offers an exciting, affordable step-up motorized mount option for purchasers of the vast majority of flat panel TVs.

Each MotionPicture Series mount is available in black and comes with a 12-month warranty. The mounts are UL, TUV GS, and CE listed.
