Santa Clara, CA — September 10, 2007 — Pragmatic Communication Systems, Inc., an industry innovator in wired and wireless systems since 1994, recently announced a new improvement for the original PADS system: the PH-16, a 16 output hub for audio distribution over category 5 cables.
The PH-16 receives line level stereo audio on a category 5 cable from any of the Pragmatic PADS PT or PTI transmitters. The PH-16 hub then distributes the line level stereo audio to the rooms while simultaneously sending power for the amplifiers on the same category 5 cable. The PH-16 feeds up to 16 rooms and can be expanded infinitely with the loop output. PH-16 is compatible with the PA-15R and PA-15KP in-wall amplifiers with rotary or keypad volume controls.
The compact design of the PH-16 is ideal for any residential or commercial distributed audio applications. It can be used along with the PADS system for audio transmission in schools, businesses, department stores as well as many others commercial settings. PTS-1 tube speakers can be paired with PH-16 for background music systems. The PH-16 also features numerous possibilities for residential applications including intercom systems and music distribution. PADS is the ideal choice for retrofit applications because it requires no rewiring but instead runs off pre-existing category 5 cables. It also works well in new construction due to its easy installation. Many optional features are available to customize the Pragmatic’s PADS system. In addition, the PH also comes in a smaller 4-output unit.
