NetStreams Hires New Vice President of Sales

Austin, TX — January 3, 2004 — NetStreams, the leader in IP-based Networked Audio distribution, announced the hire of James Drummond as its new Vice President of Sales. He brings to NetStreams nearly thirty years of sales and marketing experience in the high technology and consumer electronics industries.

“James Drummond brings to NetStreams a proven track record in creating and executing successful sales and marketing strategies,” said Herman Cardenas. “His experience developing new markets matches with NetStreams’ plan for growth. We are especially excited to have his leadership backing our efforts to promote the new DigiLinX IP-based networked audio/video distribution system, as well as our award-winning Musica system.”

“I’m proud to be a part of NetStreams’ commitment to establishing a truly next-generation platform for networked entertainment,” Drummond said. “NetStreams has created the most flexible and user-friendly system for allowing homeowners to enjoy the full quality of all their audio sources (and later video) anywhere in the house. The potential for NetStreams’ StreamNet technology is extremely exciting to me and I believe this technology will reshape the way audio and video is distributed and controlled.”

Mr. Drummond fills the office of Vice President of Sales following Buzz Goddard, who has taken the position of Vice President of International Sales to spearhead NetStreams’ growth in key overseas markets. Drummond is joining NetStreams after working for six years as the Managing Director of DCL Communications, a consulting firm specializing in formulating sales plans for consumer electronics and software producers. Before that, he spent eight years at Hitachi Corporation of America, with the last three years as Director of Marketing, held a Sales Manager position with Canon, Inc, and was Audio Products Sales Manager with Sony Corporation of America. Jim also holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, where he specialized in international sales and marketing strategies. At NetStreams, Drummond will oversee all sales growth within the United States, write dealer incentive programs, and promote research and development for new applications using dealer feedback.
