KEF Appoints New Custom Installation Business Development Manager

Industry Veteran, David Kroll Will Work Closely with Dealers to Boost Company’s Position in the Custom Installation Market

MARLBORO, NJ — August 20, 2007 — KEF, renowned British manufacturer of audiophile quality speakers, today announced the appointment of David Kroll as Custom Installation Business Development Manager. Kroll will work closely with KEF’s Custom Installation (Ci) dealers to increase awareness of the company’s line of architectural speakers. Additionally, Kroll will oversee KEF’s training and education initiatives, obtain feedback on existing and new product lines, strengthen dealer relationships, and develop new marketing strategies.

“David’s dynamic personality and extensive custom installation background made him the perfect addition to the KEF team,” stated Alec Chanin, president of KEF America. “We look forward to his contributions as we continue to deliver solutions that answer the specific needs of our custom installers.”

Kroll stated: “These are exciting times for KEF as the company continues to build its diverse product offering and introduce new technologies. With an entirely new range of Ci Commercial Loudspeakers scheduled for release this fall and other unique innovations like the expanding motorized line, I’m excited to join the company during this period of growth.”

David Kroll has more than 20 years of experience in the Consumer Electronics Industry having held positions in sales, marketing and product development. He comes to KEF from Acoustic Energy North America where he served as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, he worked at Boston Acoustics as Vice President of Product Development, National Sales Manager for Home and Custom Audio, and Director of the Custom Audio Product Group during his six year tenure. Early in his career, Kroll worked with a prominent Boston area custom installation firm for over nine years.

KEF designs and manufactures its Ci Series speakers to the same high standards of sound and build quality for which its free-standing speakers are so widely renowned. And rather than being merely modified versions of their stand-alone speakers, as is commonly the case with other manufacturers’ custom installation offerings, the KEF Ci range of speakers are purpose-built from their inception to fulfill the very different requirements — both sonic and mechanical — of architectural applications.

Talking Points:
• KEF announces the hire of David Kroll as Custom Installation Business Development Manager.
• KEF’s widely renowned Ci Series (custom installation) speakers are designed and manufactured to the same high standards of sound and build quality as its free-standing speakers.
• The Ci range of speakers is purpose-built from their inception to fulfill very different requirements — both sonic and mechanical — of architectural applications.
