KEF America Forges New Business Partnership With Marketing Matters

MARLBORO, NJ — May 20, 2005 — In a definitive move to boost brand presence in the United States, KEF America announced today that it has engaged Marketing Matters, an integrated marketing communications agency specializing in the consumer electronics industry, as its agency-of-record. The firm will work closely with KEF America, a wholly owned subsidiary of KEF Audio (UK), to build market and product awareness for the company’s award-wining lines of high performance speakers for home cinema, hi-fi and custom installation applications.

“Our UK parent is totally committed to further expand our presence in North America,” said Alec Chanin, president of KEF America. “KEF is a well regarded brand in the European market and our goal is to build up the same kind of loyalty and passion on this side of the Atlantic. Marketing Matters’ understanding of the U.S. market, especially in the custom installation arena was crucial in our selection. We look forward to working with them.”

“We are thrilled at the prospect of working with KEF America, a company that has a tremendous reputation for quality audiophile-standard home theater systems,” said Coleen Sterns, president of Marketing Matters. “The company has an exciting vision for the future, and we believe our integrated communications and creative public relations approach will capitalize and reinvigorate their brand within the North American market.”

KEF America’s public relations campaign is part of an aggressive sales and marketing strategy recently launched to reinforce the KEF brand to strategic markets. Marketing Matters will work to promote KEF’s speaker solutions to the industry, trade and business media, and strengthen the company’s position as a leading manufacturer of audio products.

The appointment of Marketing Matters as KEF America’s agency-of-record is effective immediately.
