Huawei Joins Hands with The Orchard on AIMI Digital Music Service Solution

[Shenzhen, CHINA – February 16th, 2007] Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (“Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced its cooperation with The Orchard, the world’s leading global marketer and distributor for independent record labels, to provide a complete digital music solution targeted at operators worldwide.

The Orchard represents thousands of labels and artists spanning 73 countries and every music genre. Under the agreement, The Orchard will provide its extensive music catalogue to Huawei’s AIMI (Active Music offering) integrated end-to-end digital music solution. The Orchard will also assist Huawei in strategic marketing and merchandising of international and niche genres of music, bringing a sophisticated and robust advanced digital music engine to operators and a high quality experience to end-users.
