Hisense Goes After Samsung, Sony with U9N MiniLED TV with 5,000 Nits of Brightness

Hisense’s best TV for 2024 will arrive this Summer in 75-inch and 85-inch screen sizes for gamers and home entertainment enthusiasts.

Hisense U9N Mini LED QLED 4K TV Lifestyle

Although Hisense has gained a lot of market share from its affordable line of TVs, its new flagship Mini LED TV for 2024 (model U9N) aims to outclass competitive models at the top end of the market, while maintaining a more attractive price point. With initial pricing set at $2,999 (75-inch) and $3,999 (85-inch), each are priced higher than one might expect from Hisense, but still $300 to $800 less than Samsung’s QN90D and $1,000 to $1,500 less than Sony’s new flagship BRAVIA 9 TV for 2024. Even more surprising is that Hisense is claiming the U9N to be even brighter than Sony’s new TVs with more dimming zones.

The Hisense U9N is a Mini LED QLED 4K TV offering up to 5,300+ dimming zones with claims of achieving a blinding 5,000 nits peak brightness. Additional features of this light cannon include support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and HDR10+, along with an anti-glare ultra low reflection panel and an ultra wide viewing angle. Lastly, it boasts a built-in 4.1.2 multi-channel audio system, with up to 82-watts of total power. Although the initial specs are light, we expect the TV to decode Dolby Atmos on-board and either decode or at least passthrough DTS:X to compatible receivers and sound bars.

Hisense-U9N-alt

Running Google TV, the U9N provides fast access to a vast library of over 800 free channels of movies, TV shows, live TV, and more than 10,000 apps – all personalized to individual user preferences and enhanced with hands-free control and far-field voice control.

The U9N incorporates the latest in future-proof technologies such as WiFi 6E, NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0), as well as gaming enhancements such as 144Hz native refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Game Mode, Dolby Vision Gaming, Game Mode Pro, and Hisense’s new Game Bar feature, which lets users customize their gameplay screens.

Price & Availability

The Hisense U9N Mini LED QLED 4K TV will be available Summer 2024 for $2,999 (75-inch) and $3,999 (85-inch) at Best Buy and other authorized Hisense dealers.

That’s nice, ORT. I think. But I don’t speak binary and my protocol droid is on the fritz.

Lately I can barely speak English and my last Star Wars Moisture Vaporator went on vacation and I took it to the local Best Buy to have it recycled. But I do think well of Hisense TVs now. Now. Not a few weeks ago, but now that it is working as it should and my daughter’s new Hisense is working fine out of the box, I can say without hesitation that I like TVs by Hisense.

My R2BDM said Hisense is both excellent and affordable. I also have a friend that is Gungan but I canna understand him at all as he is French.
