HAI’s Award-Winning HAI Lighting Control (HLC) Products Shipping with Generation II UPB (Universal Powerline Bus) Technology for Enhanced Reliability and Added Features

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), a leading manufacturer of integrated security and home automation products since 1985, is now shipping all products in its award-winning HLC product line with Generation II UPB Technology adding to its superior reliability and features.
The HLC line of fully two-way communicating lighting control products includes dimmers, switches, keypads, a remote control, and a new table top cradle. HLC products do not require new wiring to be run so they can be easily installed in new or existing homes with standard electrical wire.
New features and benefits provided by the new Generation II UPB technology include;
– Improved communication and enhanced noise immunity for superior reliability even in the noisiest of environments.
– Swifter reaction time of switches when tapped; virtually no delay between tapping of switch and light reaction.
– Full compatibility with UPB split phase repeaters.
HAI began incorporating the Generation II UPB technology in its HLC line in July so that all HLC products shipping by November 1, 2007 would include the Generation II UPB enhancements. There are no changes or increases in pricing to the HLC products as a result of the enhancements.
