Named as CES Best of Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award Honoree

Genesis Advanced Technologies, manufacturer of high-end luxury loudspeaker and amplifier systems announced it has been named an International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the Genesis 7.1f loudspeaker.

Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 36 product categories. The judges also awarded the G7.1f it one of the highest scores in its product category, hence, honoring the G7.1f as Best of Innovations in its category.

The G7.1f is a high-end audiophile loudspeaker with full-range musical performance in a small-footprint svelte and elegant enclosure. A built-in servo-controlled 8″ subwoofer delivers bass down to 22Hz, while the famous Genesis ribbon tweeter ensures perfect high frequencies to 36kHz.

The prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. It is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) of the USA, the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the voice of industrial design, committed to advancing the profession through education, information, community and advocacy.

“We are particularly honored to be receiving this award,” said Mr. Gary Leonard Koh, President of Genesis Advanced Technologies. “The Genesis 7.1f was designed and engineered to be a value priced product in the Genesis line. In particular, it was designed to be beautiful and elegant and to fit into the family room. That the CEA and IDSA recognized the G7.1f as Best of Innovations is a great honor to us. We are proud that a high-end product from a small, specialist US-based manufacturer can be competitive in the large consumer electronics marketplace.”

Products chosen as an Innovations honoree reflect innovative design and engineering of the entries. Examples may include the first time various technologies are combined in a single product or dramatic enhancements to previous product designs.

The Genesis 7.1f will be demonstrated together with the award-winning Genesis Reference Amplifier at the 2010 International CES, in the High Performance Audio Showcase in The Venetian, Suite #29-215, January 7 — 10, Las Vegas, Nevada. It will also be displayed at the Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center and will be featured at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the International CES on Tuesday, January 5.
