Features Long Distance Wireless Range and Hotkeys for Windows XP Media Center Edition

City of Industry, CA D October 23, 2007 D X-Gene, the brand name for Next Generation Tech, Inc. products, announces the introduction of its newest wireless keyboard, the PN-01030. This feature rich board makes a couch potatoOs dream come true with 2.4GHz wireless technology for precise keyboard and trackball commands at a distance of up to 45 feet.

The full-size unit is Mac, Windows XP Media Center Edition, and Windows Vista Premium compatible. A space-saving trackball allows easy 360-degree navigation for gamers in the family. Offering low profile keys and multimedia controls, the wireless keyboard is ideal for all types of home entertainment.?
OOur PN-01030 wireless keyboard provides the ultimate in convenience for not only general usage, but also for anyone operating a Windows Media Center,O commented Joseph Shih, president of Next Generation. OPlus, its sleek, elegant design adds a look and feel of sophistication no matter where it is used.O

2.4GHz Wireless Technology
By using Radio Frequency (RF) communications technology, the PN-01030 keyboard is able function up to 45 feet from the host computer in any direction. RF technology is superior to the Infrared technology used by most wireless keyboards, because with RF technology you do not have to have the keyboard pointed directly at the host computer. The keyboard will easily operate through the closed doors of your home entertainment center, walls and other obstacles.

Media Center HotKeys and Remote Control Features
It serves up a practical and attractive solution for ending cable clutter. Eight Media Center hotkeys are conveniently located at the bottom of the unit and pave the way for easy access to the Internet, TV or radio programs, and connected media players (DVD, MP3, etc,). Instant media access is just the push of a button away. Additionally, a 14-key remote control, included, lets the user easily operate any connected media from across the room.

Optical Track Ball
A space-saving 800-DPI optical trackball with a 360-degree navigation capability, makes the unit even more mobile or lap friendly, and its not necessary to have a flat surface to operate a mouse. The optical track ball eliminates the navigation problems faced by track pad users with moist, sweaty or calloused fingers.

Offering quiet operation, the well-made, black, flat unit is a sleek 16.7O long x 5.9O deep x 1.2O thick. Its lightweight ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and operate.

Availability
The new X-Gene PN-01030 2.4GHz wireless keyboard will be available at NewEgg.com and other online retailers this month. It has a MSRP of $79.95.
