The e-TP309 is a sophisticated, luxuriously made power distributor of almost unbelievable quality that eliminates many problems caused by poor connections, contact resistance, EMI, RFI, and lack of resonance control.
It’s All About the Receptacles
All enthusiasts are looking for the same qualities: Verisimilitude to the original event, a sense of engagement promoting suspension of disbelief, an immersion in audio and video experience. To engage without effort requires meticulous preparation of the entire playback chain especially including the AC power.
Central to the e-TP309’s success at controlling resonances are the extreme high performance Furutech Pure Transmission AC receptacles. They feature nonmagnetic rhodium-plated Alpha phosphor bronze fittings over a nylon/fiberglass body that incorporates carbon particles in the manufacture. This industrial recipe creates an extremely effective nonresonant connector body.
With a further eye to resonance control and tight, secure connections, the ‘309 is equipped with resonance-damping material around each receptacle that’s “set” against the bottom plate with a patented Axial Locking Screw. It’s hand-torqued at the factory and measurably reduces receptacle resonance by a factor of ten!
The ‘309 is wired with Furutech Alpha 10 conductors–5.5 sq. mm 10 AWG–ensuring very low electrical resistance, and the star-wired conductors are sheathed within resonance-absorbing tubing. There’s also a layer of Formula GC-303 bonded to bottom plate that effectively shields against EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference).
Naturally the chassis is made of the highest-grade aluminum to effectively shield against RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). Befitting a unit of such style and effectiveness, it’s equipped with a beautifully-crafted aluminum top plate dressed in an elegant carbon fiber finish.
Formula GC-303
GC-303 is a special material Furutech bonds to the interior bottom-plate of the chassis that absorbs EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) generated by the internal fittings of the unit.
Furutech’s Patent-Pending Axial Locking System
Furutech designed a special locking screw that anchors each duplex receptacle preventing oscillation and enhancing long-term stability. A special 3M material surrounds and isolates each duplex outlet from resonance as well. Each Axial Lock is torqued to perfection to work with the 3M resonance control material at the factory.
The Furutech e-TP309 features nonmagnetic rhodium-plated Alpha phosphor bronze fittings and nylon/fiberglass bodies that incorporate carbon particles for resonance damping. The IEC features rhodium-plated Alpha pure-copper fittings, plus the remarkable Axial Locking System and anti-EMI Formula GC-303 bonded to the bottom plate. All conductors are star-wired with Alpha 10, 5.5 sq. mm (10 AWG) surrounded by resonance-absorbing tubing.
The chassis is fabricated from the highest-grade aluminum with an attractive carbon fiber-finished top plate. All conductors treated with Furutech’s Alpha Cryogenic and Demagnetizing Process.
