Dual’s latest multimedia/navigation receiver (XDVDN9131) offers consumers a rich feature set with a 7″ TFT LCD touch screen interface in a single DIN chassis that includes fully integrated navigation, DVD/USB/SD/iPod and Bluetooth. Hands-free Bluetooth with audio streaming (A2DP) is complemented by the internal and external microphone and input for steering wheel controls. The fold-down front panel detaches for security and offers drivers full-featured iPod control and charging using the USB input and also includes a 3.5mm A/V input. A built-in SD card reader plays your favorite MP3/WMA files.

Gogo is easy-to-use navigation software, which offers an extensive range of advanced features. Powered by a sophisticated and robust navigation engine, Gogo gives drivers the most efficient routes combined with accurate, turn-by-turn guidance — provided by means of Loquendo’s fluent and lifelike multilingual synthetic speech.

Gogo supports a wide range of GPS-enabled devices – including in-dash units, Portable Navigation Devices (PND), and Smartphones – and is available in East Asia, North and South America and will be coming very soon to Europe. “EnGIS and Loquendo have been collaborating closely since 2008 in order to empower Gogo with the best-of-breed, expressive synthetic voices,” says Luisa Cordano, Loquendo Sales Manager for Embedded Technologies. “It was a pleasure to work in such a professional atmosphere and deploy successfully with an important consumer electronics brand such as Dual.”

“We’re thrilled to work with Loquendo, the world leader in speech technology, to bring TTS to Gogo navigation software,” says Martin Carr, Vice President for EnGIS Technologies. “Our strategy at EnGIS is to bring our customers the best navigation experience; by integrating the natural and smooth voices of Loquendo TTS into our navigation guidance, we are adding yet another feature that will delight users of Gogo navigation and make any journey a pleasure.” Loquendo TTS, currently in 27 languages and 65 voices, is available for all major platforms and for any kind of device. Loquendo and EnGIS are now working together on a new frontier – the integration of Loquendo Embedded ASR technology on the Gogo platform!
