Diskeeper Offers Volume Discounts for Defrag Users

IT Departments can maximize savings and system performance with defragmentation.

Long Beach, CA February 21, 2008- Diskeeper Corporation is offering volume price discounts for customers with as little as 20 workstations or 5 servers for Diskeeper 2008, according to a company executive. The next generation of defrag software gives maximum file system performance at all times.

“In business today, quality and quantity are vital, and often directly proportional to revenue. Computer slows are a serious bottleneck that result in reduced user productivity,” says Michael Materie, Production Manager for Diskeeper.

Today’s IT managers are responsible for adding to a corporation’s bottom line by seeking increased efficiency from sometimes outdated and slow computer systems. Because they are expected to ‘do more with less,’ IT departments are turning to advanced defragmentation software that extracts greater speed out of every machine to improve efficiency without having to purchase new hardware.

Recently Renasant Bank in Tupelo, Mississippi, performed an evaluation of defrag software solutions and found that servers with Diskeeper were able to handle, on average, five more workstations than servers without. During the reliability test, the servers that were defragmenting files automatically had up to 10% higher uptime than servers that didn’t have defrag software automatically running.

Diskeeper’s breakthrough InvisiTasking technology is truly automatic and rids computers of fragmentation on-the-fly as it occurs, while only using idle resources. The company’s products are designed specifically to increase the productivity of the workplace and keep business systems always running at their maximum peak performance.

Designed for the typical office PC user, Diskeeper 2008 Professional includes advanced protection against performance problems for PCs and Laptops; and, the Server edition was designed from the ground up to provide real time file system performance for servers.

For maximum file system performance for high capacity, high traffic, 24/7, Diskeeper’s 2008 Enterprise Server edition services enterprise level servers with disk volumes containing millions of files including NAS, RAID, and SANS, while the Administrator edition provides centralized defragmentation management, alerting, and reporting tools to empower System Administrators with easy network-wide control.

Increased performance from defrag reduces lost time due to slow computers. As an example, a corporation with 250 employees whose hourly computer slows equal only 30 seconds per hour waste more than $76,000 annually, figured at the Department of Labor national average wage of $17.63 per hour.

Not only is there a cost benefit by having a more productive staff, but IT departments can now lessen the burden of inquires as to why the computers are slow, or even more costly, replacing equipment to solve the problem.
