Cable Zen Solves Home Theatre Connection Dilemma

Breakthrough for Home Entertainment Systems Ends Confusion and Clutter; Color-Coded Cables Include Identification Clips, Cable Management Accessories and More

Las Vegas – (January 6th, 2005) – StarTech.com introduced Cable Zen, the revolutionary new home theater cable management system, at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. In the new era of digital convergence, Cable Zen promises to be the home entertainment enthusiast’s best friend by putting an end to the confusion and mess of connecting home theatre equipment.

Comprised of a full range of cables for DVD players, VCRs, televisions, CD/MP3 players, speakers, amplifiers and other componentry, Cable Zen is a complete and comprehensive system that makes connecting devices easy. The cables and packaging are color-coded for easy identification of applications and offer gold plated connectors for professional sound/image quality; what’s more, Cable Zen includes a cable management system featuring cable ties and an on-wire labeling system that tells the user which cables connect to which device.

Cable Zen cables are available in a variety of lengths from three to twelve feet (0.9 to 2.7 meters). All classes of audio/video connectors are covered including Audio RCA, Component, Composite, Coaxial RG6, Digital Coax, Sub Woofer, S-Video, and Toslink.

“StarTech.com’s Cable Zen cable management system costs no more than comparable-quality cables, yet offers so much more,” said Paul Seed, president of StarTech.com. “The clips, labels and other cable management features come at no additional charge. Cable Zen is the ideal solution for amateurs and audio/videophiles alike that need a simple way to keep their cabling under control.”

Online Wizard
To make home cabling projects even easier, StarTech.com will be launching a new website, CableZen.com. The site will feature the Cable Zen Master, an exclusive tool that walks homeowners through the installation process step-by-step and lets them know what cables they need to use.

Availability
StarTech.com’s Cable Zen cable management system products will be available for purchase in any combination directly from StarTech.com or from A/V specialty dealers, consumer electronics retailers, and component resellers in February. The product line is being showcased at the 2005 International CES from the StarTech.com booth IP535 in the Innovations Plus area of the CES Central Plaza.
