BLU R1 HD Smartphone Breaks $50 Price Barrier

BLU R1 HD Smartphone

BLU Products is now offering one of the best values for an entry Android smartphone. It comes unlocked, without any contract for only $49.99 with offers.  The catch is with offers, which puts Amazon ads on your lockscreen.  The second catch is the discount is only offered to current Amazon Prime members, or those that sign-up. However, the same phone can be purchased without any ads for $50 more.

The new R1 HD is a 5-inch, 4G LTE phone that comes with good, not great specs, but certainly usable for average users. Plus it comes with a handy dual-sim feature for travelers. It works with any GSM carrier world-wide, but in the U.S. it  only works on AT&T, T-Mobile and metroPCS.

The R1 HD is powered by a MediaTek 6735 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, fast 4G LTE speed, an 8-megapixel autofocus main camera, and 5-megapixel front selfie camera with LED flash.  Its got a 5-inch (1280×720, 294ppi) HD display with curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed.

The BLU R1 HD also incorporates premium build quality and materials resulting in a stunning luxurious look and feel. It is available in memory variants of either 8GB internal storage + 1GB RAM or 16GB + 2GB RAM, with microSD card support for up to 64 GB of additional storage.

“The BLU R1 HD is the perfect choice for customers who want a high quality experience in a brand new, unlocked smartphone without sacrificing style and performance,” said Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products, Inc.

Price and Availability

The BLU R1 HD is available now for $49.99 with Amazon ads exclusively to Amazon Prime members. Non-prime members or buyers that don’t want to see Amazon offers can buy the phone for its regular price of $99.99. There is a 16GB version with 2GB RAM for $109.99.  All prices are for unlocked, no-contract phones.

Lastly, perfectly matched R1 HD phone cases are available in black or gold for only $6.99 at Amazon.com.
