Atlantic Technology has announced its first portable music system, the Nexa 1. This portable speaker incorporates a refined industrial design which is intended to balance form and function for music lovers looking for improved sound quality on the go.
Nexa 1 Core Features
To deliver the desired sound quality, the Nexa 1 includes two 2.5-inch aluminum full-range drivers and a rear oval passive radiator supported by a 60-watt amplifier.
For use in any environment, the Nexa 1 has an IPX5 rating. This means that it is water and dust-resistant for both indoor and outdoor use. The touch-sensitive film that covers the Nexa 1’s status LEDs and top-panel controls is waterproof which allows continued operation during different weather conditions.
The provided LED indicators visually indicate operational status and sound effects. The top controls provide access to Play/Pause, Volume adjustment, and Track selection. A dedicated Hang-up button allows the user to end phone calls (the Nexa 1 has a built-in microphone), while the Aux switch, phone assistant controls, and sound effect/mode switching options provide further flexibility.
The Nexa 1 is Bluetooth 5.3 compatible which provides easy streaming connection from compatible devices such as smartphones. The Nexa 1 supports one-touch TWS (True Wireless Stereo) pairing. This makes it easy to add a second Nexa 1—or any other compatible device.
In addition to Bluetooth, the Nexa 1 also provides a 3.5 mm digital audio input and a microSD card slot.
For added convenience, the Nexa 1 also provides a USB-C charging port which can not only charge the Nexa 1 but can also be used to charge an additional Nexus 1 if needed, with the Nexus 1 acting as a power bank. On a full charge, the Nexa 1 can play for up to 15 hours.
At 2.6 lbs, the Nexa 1 can be easily moved from room to room and is easily transportable when on the go.
