Amazon Echo Look – No Don’t

Amazon Echo Look next to watch

Amazon just introduced Echo Look, an entirely new category of device that combines the voice-command skills of Alexa with a hands-free camera and built-in style assistant. Simply ask Echo Look to take a photo or short video so you can see your outfit from any angle, share your look with friends, or get a second opinion on what to wear using Style Check, which combines machine learning algorithms with advice from fashion specialists.

This $200 gadget is available at Amazon via invitation only right now. You’ll need to watch the video above to have any idea what it does or why you would want it. Then again, it does still work like the original Echo for asking it questions or playing music. Of course, it’s new skill is “Alexa, take a photo.”

Echo Look is completely controlled by your voice. You can take full-length photos and short videos with its built-in hands-free camera. Then, get a second opinion with Style Check on which outfit looks best. Hold on a sec, what happens when you ask, “Does this outfit make me look fat?” We will soon find out.. but I’m sure Amazon will be on-call to sell you plenty of items that won’t. Regardless, Amazon will soon know more about you and your wardrobe than you do.

See more about Echo Look at Amazon.com’s product page.
