Earlier this year, alongside its OLED lineup, LG offered a glimpse of what to expect from its 2025 QNED TVs. Now, the company is officially rolling out the first models in the lineup: the LG QNED evo 92 (QNED92A0) and QNED evo 9M (QNED9MA).
The LG QNED evo 92 is LG’s flagship 4K QNED evo model, featuring Dynamic QNED Color Pro and mini-LED backlighting for enhanced picture quality. While the QNED evo 9M isn’t the flagship, it marks a first for LG’s QNED lineup as the company’s debut True Wireless QNED TV, utilizing the Zero Connect technology previously seen in its M-Series OLEDs.
Color Enhancement
LG’s 2025 QNED evo lineup, led by the QNED evo 92 and QNED evo 9M, debuts advanced color technologies driven by wide color gamut innovation. The QNED evo 9M features LG’s Dynamic QNED Color, while the flagship QNED evo 92 steps it up with Dynamic QNED Color Pro. Both models are Intertek-certified for 100% Color Volume, delivering vibrant, true-to-life colors in both bright and dark scenes—making them a top choice for movie lovers and gamers who demand high-performance visuals.
Pro Tip: While Dynamic QNED Color technology is featured across the entire QNED evo lineup, its implementation and specifications vary by model.
AI Processing

AI is the defining buzzword of 2025, and LG’s latest QNED evo TVs are no exception. The QNED evo 92 is powered by the new α8 Gen 2 AI Processor, delivering nearly a 70% boost in AI performance over last year’s models—optimized for ultra-large screens with enhanced picture and sound quality. Stepping up, the QNED evo 9M features the even more advanced α9 Gen 8 AI Processor.
Both TVs leverage AI for advanced upscaling and scene-by-scene analysis, adjusting picture noise while preserving the filmmaker’s intent. Faces, text, objects, and backgrounds are rendered more naturally, and Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro analyzes each scene in real time to fine-tune HDR effects and brightness by zone.
For audio, both QNED evo models use AI to convert 2-channel sound into immersive virtual surround sound—up to 9.1.2 channels on the QNED evo 92 and 11.1.2 channels on the QNED evo 9M. This creates a more engaging listening experience by enhancing spatial depth and clarity.
The AI also separates dialogue from background noise, making voices easier to hear, and ensures sound appears to come naturally from the center of the screen. Both TVs also support Dolby Atmos for an added layer of cinematic immersion.
Wireless
Zero Connect Box: The LG QNED evo 9M sets itself apart with True Wireless Video & Audio Transfer technology—previously reserved for LG’s high-end OLED evo M-Series. Now debuting in the QNED lineup, this feature enables wireless 4K content streaming with no loss in picture quality or noticeable lag, eliminating the need for traditional HDMI connections.
At the heart of this setup is the Zero Connect Box, which acts as a wireless hub for all your source devices. It transmits up to 4K resolution at a refresh rate of up to 144Hz directly to the TV. The only cable needed for the QNED evo 9M’s display is a power cord, offering far more flexibility for placing your gaming consoles, media players, or set-top boxes wherever you want—without the cable clutter.
WiSA Wireless Audio: Both the QNED evo 92 and QNED evo 9M continue to support WiSA, a carryover feature from select previous LG OLED and QNED models. WiSA allows these TVs to wirelessly connect to compatible WiSA-certified speakers and subwoofers, making it easy to build a full home theater audio setup—no speaker wires required.
Pro Tip: On the QNED evo 9M, WiSA functionality is enabled through the Zero Connect Box. Be sure to check the user guide for your specific model for setup instructions.
Gaming Support
The QNED9M supports a refresh rate of 144Hz (great for gamers). In addition, both TVs are AMD FreeSync Premium certified. Both TVs provide access to LG’s Game Optimizer and are ALLM, VRR, and HGIG compatible.
AI Magic Remote
For 2025, LG introduces a new AI Magic Remote for its QNED evo TVs. Pressing the AI button gives users tailored content recommendations and app suggestions based on their viewing habits.
Personalization goes even deeper with features like Voice ID, the Generative AI Gallery, and custom picture and sound modes. A short press of the AI button highlights useful keywords and TV features, while a long press taps into LLM4-powered personalized searches for a smarter, more intuitive experience.
WebOS 25
LG’s webOS smart TV platform has been updated to version 25, bringing hyper-personalized services and enhanced content powered by cutting-edge AI features. With continued updates over the next five years, webOS ensures a long-term, evolving user experience.

The Bottom Line
LG has long been synonymous with OLED TVs, while its LCD-based QNED models have often played second fiddle, barely grabbing the attention of reviewers. However, for 2025, LG has clearly upped its game, integrating advanced AI features and processing technology—like the Zero Connect wireless tech from its OLED lineup—into its QNED TVs.
With competitors like Samsung, TCL, and Hisense pushing the limits of what LCD TVs can do with cutting-edge tech, LG is making sure it’s not left behind. While OLED still offers unique advantages, the majority of consumers are still opting for LCD-based TVs, making the QNED evo 92 and QNED evo 9M models worth considering.
And LG isn’t stopping there—more QNED models are coming, including the QNED87, QNED86, and QNED85, ranging from 50 to 100 inches.
