Focal Naim North America Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary and The Best is Yet to Come

Although Focal and Naim Audio merged into Vervent Audio Group in 2011, their North American distribution subsidiary which started in 2019 is reporting record breaking growth.

During the COVID pandemic, Wendy Knowles, Focal Naim North America’s Director of PR, reached out to me to see if I would willing to travel to visit the new Focal Powered by Naim Houston experience that was opening.

Only a few of us made the journey and took advantage of Houston’s exceptional Vietnamese and Mexican food, wide range of historical sites, and some fantastic record shopping. It was also an opportunity for me to visit Rice University where my nephew is an engineering student.

What became clear spending time with the Focal Naim North America team was that they really had a strategy for the next decade; something that feels rather rare in the high-end audio business with few exceptions.

Between all of the loudspeakers and headphones that Focal offers, Naim Audio’s extensive lineup of electronics, and a growing range of brands like AVID, Thorens, and Musical Fidelity that are part of their distribution business — this is a company that actually understands what its core strengths are — and what it needs to do to actually sell it.

Focal Naim North America is celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2024 and against some rather strong headwinds, it has doubled its business and increased dealer partners by 30% thanks in part to the custom Integration market with professional integrators.

Since 2019, Focal Naim North America has experienced growth and success with overwhelming support for all its product launches, enabling the company to invest in new IT systems and a B2B portal, live from January 3, 2024.

One of the recent successes of Focal Naim North America is the launch of the new Focal Aria Evo X speaker line January 9, 2024, replacing the original, iconic Aria series. The new product has already surpassed 1,000 units sold in less than 45 days, setting a record in the history of Focal.

“As we celebrate our fifth anniversary in North America, we are grateful for the trust and support of our partners and customers,” said Romain Vet, Vice President Sales and Marketing at Focal Naim North America. “We remain committed to delivering exceptional audio experiences and are excited about the future as we focus on enhancing our brand image, particularly with our Utopia flagship line.”

“I am delighted to celebrate the remarkable success of Focal Naim in North America – a testament to our innovative brand strategy,” said Cédrick Boutonet, President VerVent Audio Holding. “Our Focal Powered by Naim stores have been instrumental in this journey, providing an unparalleled audio experience. This achievement, coupled with pioneering launches of high-end products, underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering excellence and redefining the audio landscape worldwide.”

Looking ahead, Focal Naim North America is dedicated to maintaining its position as a leader in high-fidelity audio solutions in America and Canada with a focus on product innovation, dealer and retail partners and customer satisfaction.
